My Spanish Mami was there! Got the steamed salmon combo with 2 vegetables [okra and broccoli]. So... one thing about this spot... they will give you whatever and charge you whatever. I'm always confused about pricing because I haven't paid a posted price in years. My mask was about $26 when posted it says $17 with one vegetable. Did my additional vegetable run me almost $10? NO... when they run out of the size of fish for the special, they give you whatever was cut and charge you whatever they want. I'm not comparing now, but this is why I go from South Jamaica to east New York Brooklyn for steamed seafood.

Saw this place when I went to a place a cross the street, caught my eye coz I've been craving for good fried fish. Checked them out and the place looks decent, small for a fish store but they have good selection of cooked and fresh seafood. I had my doubts but I'm glad I still tied them coz the food was good! The crabs were over fried or dried out but it had good flavor, I'd bet it would've been amazing if it were super fresh, but they had the fried fish and breaded fried shrimp were really good. The lady was nice enough that she wasn't rushing me while I was looking around and she didn't have an attitude which made me happy coz plenty of places seems to have unfriendly ppl working. She was also happy to assist.I'm glad I found this place close to my place, now we can have fresh good seafood anytime we feel like it. I definitely recommend.

I've been going there for years. I love it! I was just checking to see if they were still there after the pandemic. I just moved back to New York and I anxious to go there again.

I've been coming here for over 20 years. J&C is owned by two Asian ladies whom seem to be ageless. They're very pleasant, but don't take no mess. When you walk in, you'll find precooked seafood that is flash fried as you order. They also have steamed options, being they have fresh seafood in the back. The large variety of fish can be cleaned and cut to your specific liking. It is customary to tip the guy cleaning fish. There's also a freezer with frozen seafood as well. The area has numerous businesses, such as laundry mat, 99cent, etc. public transportation is out front. And they're 5 minutes from JFK airport.

It's a fish market but I Seen they had a section for fresh fry foods on the go wasn't too bad , ( shrimp , crab , scallops ) however the fried crab had little to no meat . The only down side was it definitely over priced better off hitting red lobster or a real seafood boil place even Popeyes . Not worth the Money , the fish market side of it looks good fresh fish . Other than that the fried food to go wasn't worth the money .

This hole in the wall is right on rockaway blvd. My father has been raving on about this places. Finally we pulled up. And let me tell you, it's an amazing eatery. The fish sandwich that I ordered on wheat bread is so simple but packs a heavy punch as soon as you bite into it! I couldn't tell you the last time I had a delicious fish sandwich like this one. Definitely my favorite fish sando. If you are in Queens make sure to check them out.

I'm so very confused by this place. We were excited for a small fish market and were expecting fresh fish, etc. I put in an order for a bunch of takeout. First of all, the 4 lobster tails were actually tiny... like langosteins instead of lobsters, so the $40 price point seemed off. Otherwise, they were probably as expected and I didn't doc stars for it. They were pretty rubbery but the seasoning was good. Here's where it got weird... I ordered the fried scallops as they were supposedly popular... but, they weren't real scallops. It was a strange processed fish substance kind of like imitation crab meat sticks. The fried crab legs actually looked similar... like not real crab. And the breading on them seemed like something that might have come out of a freezer bag. From a fish market? So odd. (See picture of the "scallop")

I buy fresh seafood here all the time. They have a large variety of fresh seafood and reasonable prices. Their steam fish and vegetables is delicious. Customer service is people centric.

Went before closing food was ok not too spectacular not the worse. Too expensive order medium shrimp steamed with broccoli and potatoes as one meal and then broccoli corn potatoes and one fried salmon filet as another meal was charged $40.00. $14.00 for the medium shrimp alone when he originally told me $12 and then and additional $6 for two vegetables. Then $9.00 for one fried salmon filet plus $8 for additional side of 3 vegetables. At most steam places the veggies are included. Felt like I could've gotten much better quality food for less!
