As frequent visitors to the wineries on the North Fork, we always pass the sign advertisement for The Dimon Estate. For our 27th anniversary we decided to make a reservation and give it a try. So glad we did! Everything was wonderful from start to finish. Everyone was so friendly. I really love that they serve wine from the local wineries. We had the oysters and the jamesport fried brie to start. For our dinners, I ordered the Duck Confit and my husband ordered the Australian Filet mignon. And finally, we ended the evening with the white chocolate cheesecake for dessert. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend to all.

The Dimor Estate was on my list to try for some time and so I was excited to finally go. The restaurant is very lovely with old world charm in a very pretty setting. There is a beautiful outdoor space although we opted to eat indoors. The experience started out great...a cheerful and very helpful server who guided us through menu selections, letting me taste an unfamiliar wine and seemed to be top notch. Service on the North Fork of Long Island (as in other places) has taken a hit lately...but we were so pleased to have someone so helpful. The food was delicious, nicely prepared and portioned...all great...until...our server seemed to have disappeared!!! Out of sight, nowhere to be seen. We sat and waited and waited and finally another server came by to take the dessert order. Some time later she reappeared with a barely warm cappuccino (undrinkable, sent back). She apologized and alluded to something happening and seemed flustered. Very strange. It took some time to get the check and to pay. Hmmm...we don't know what happened but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. I hope everything is ok. I still would definitely go again and absolutely recommend it.

Good food, good service, good atmosphere, and good prices. We had the pork chop, shrimp scampi, and duck starter, and all were solid. Prices were very reasonable. We had a great experience all around.

I really want to give Dimon a better review, but the portions have gotten smaller and smaller and the quality of the food has diminished. Likewise, service is unbelievably slow. We were all starving waiting for our appetizers, so we requested bread. They told us they do not have bread but could bring us some crackers, which we never received. I do not blame the server, who was very pleasant and professional, but they are clearly very understaffed and struggling.

Food was very good but the service was terrible. Only 2 servers for the whole restaurant. We received our meals and were never checked on again. We finished our meals and waited 20 minutes until we ourselves were able to catch a servers attention. Note to owner, hire more staff.

The Dimon Estate is a nice place for a quiet evening. While the restaurant was crowded on a Saturday evening, there was a calm atmosphere in the dining rooms. We sat at the bar for a drink while waiting for our table and the bartender was friendly and accommodating - he wasn't sure how to make the drink I requested, but asked me for direction. We had two nice appetizers and our dinners which were excellent. We definitely will go back.

Food and service was exceptional. The ambiance in this historic home turned restaurant is amazing. Views from the windows are pastoral and you feel relaxed and at ease while you enjoy you meal.

It was our first time since the new ownership of the Dimon estate and we're so glad we came. Our reservation was ready for us when we arrived and the ambience was charming . We chose to eat inside because of the extreme heat outside. It felt like we were dining in a quaint dining room in a windowed alcove. Our server was so friendly and attentive. Our food was delicious! Our group of 6 ordered everything from the delicious duck, the incredible eggplant parmigiana , crispy chicken and the catch of the day cod. The portions were perfect size for one person and every dish was outstanding . All of the dinners included side dishes on the plate . The appetizers of beet salad , muscles, and other salads were once again delicious The outside patio dining area was completely sold out The food was amazing Every dish was perfect The prices were also spot on making Dimon a great choice at an affordable price .We will definitely return to dine here soon

Based on other reviews, we decided to try the Dimon Estate and are happy we did. The menu was varied and interesting, providing us with many options. For appetizer, we selected the scallops and the beet salad, both delicious. Not the main, we selected the pork chop, grilled salmon, and the chicken. Again, each beautifully presented and delicious. Our server was helpful, friendly, and graciously accommodated all of our requests. The dining room is lovely well. Overall, a really nice evening. We'll definitely be back.

On 6/10/2024 I hosted a party of 36 for my wife’s surprise birthday party. I chose the Dimon Estate in Jamesport based on friend’s recommendation. I met with the owner Matt Carr. He was very pleasant to work with and flexible. Last night’s event was incredible and all my guests raved about the beautiful venue, food and overall services Several guests had the Filet mignon and said it was the best they ever had. All the servers were extremely helpful and the food came to the table timely, warm and delicious.
I strongly recommend you have dinner or a catered party at the Dimon Estate located on Manor Lane. Just a great party and thank you Matt for a wonderful surprise party!
