My wife and I came across smokey's by accident, we were out for a Sunday drive, ( we live in Newstead) when hunger pains hit me. We drove around looking for any open place, came across smokey's, looked at each other and said 'why not'. Wife had Shepherds pie, I had the roast beef. Both we excellent and reasonable priced. Amazing staff. The pricing of a cheeseburger sub threw us. The 12.95 was for a 1/2 of sub not a whole. Secondly if the owners don't like the music playing then don't sit under the TV. The manager had the volume turned down nicely for dining..
Way off the beaten track this place was very interesting. We were pleasantly surprised of the friendly atmosphere and quality of the food. Great portions. Service was excellent.We definitely return.
