Not authentic Greek food but there is a large selection of other items on the menu. Service was great but the person checking us out was grumpy. Whatever you do, Don’t touch the muffins…

One of my father-in-law's favorite places to eat, and eating there twice myself now, it's no wonder. Great classic diner and Greek foods, with a classic diner feel. My gyro omelette w/ home fries was amazing!

✨ Lunch at Greek House – Johnson City, NY ✨
When you step into a family-owned spot that has been serving the community since 1991, you can immediately feel the love and tradition behind every dish. That was exactly my experience at Greek House in Binghamton/Johnson City.
I started with their Dolmanthes (stuffed grape leaves), beautifully presented with a side of avgolemono (lemon-egg soup) that carried orzo rice inside. The grape leaves were tender, perfectly rolled, and filled with a flavorful rice mixture. The lemon sauce was bright, velvety, and gave just the right tangy balance to the earthy grape leaves—comfort food with a burst of freshness.
Next up was a hearty plate featuring a mushroom omelet, home fries, and marble rye toast. The omelet was fluffy and generously loaded with mushrooms, while the potatoes were lightly seasoned, golden, and crisp in the right spots. The rye toast added a nice rustic touch, perfect for sopping up any leftover flavors.
What makes this place truly special is not just the food, but the story. The owner proudly shared that Greek House has been around since 1991, and it shows in the quality and consistency of their menu. Everything tastes homemade, as if it came straight out of a Greek kitchen.
If you’re in the Binghamton/Johnson City area and craving authentic Greek comfort food, this is a must-stop. Friendly vibes, generous portions, and food that speaks for itself. 🇬🇷❤️
