“My wife and I came into town to run some errands and found them through a quick ‘Italian restaurant’ google search. I’m so glad we did! The wait was estimated about 20-30minutes, but we were offered seats at the bar without any wait! To our surprise there was $5 spaghetti night and what a nice welcome to find an affordable meal! We got a Moscow mule, Diet Coke, and a double shot of Tito’s vodka. Our meals were spaghetti with a meatball, rigatoni Bolognese, and crab stuffed mushrooms. The meals both came with salad and house made Italian dressing (delicious!) and complimentary homemade bread. Everything was absolutely perfectly cooked and seasoned. The bartenders were both women, and extremely quick and attentive. We had such a great experience and loved the atmosphere. The bar is very old school wood, really made you feel at home. We will be returning, I’ve heard great things about their ‘Steak Tuesdays!’”

“Wir kamen am 07.09.2025 zum Abendessen. Das Restaurant war so nett und einladend. Das Essen war mehr als köstlich! Ich bestellte Rahmschnitzel und Pat dasselbe! Es hat so gut geschmeckt! Das Sauerkraut war mit dieser fantastischen Soße garniert! Die beiden Herren, die dort arbeiteten, waren so toll und freundlich. Ich konnte sogar Deutsch sprechen! Ich lerne die Sprache gerade wieder, und das war das Beste, abgesehen vom Essen. :) Die Pizza, die ein anderer Tisch bestellt hatte, sah FANTASTISCH aus! Dafür komme ich wieder!”

“BEST bubbles in Binghamton! And cheap! I love bubble tea! My family is from Taiwan. I grew up in Flushing (Queens) where there are over 20 bubble tea shops within a mile of my parents' house. In other words, I'm an expert on bubble tea.

Nihao is the ONLY place in Binghamton that gets the bubbles (aka tapioca pearls) right! Some people might disagree, but for me the most important part of bubble tea is the tapioca. Most bubble tea places mess up the bubbles. They either do not have the right texture (e.g. too mushy, too hard) or taste (e.g. too sweet, not sweet enough) or both. I've even had bubbles that were hard on the inside and not fully cooked! Moreover, after being cooked, the bubbles have a shelf life of a few hours, after which they become gummy and slimy. You can't refrigerate them either because then they become hard. In Taiwanese, the ideal texture is stylized in English as QQ, which is a very specific type of chewy that has some bounce to it (as opposed to, say, taffy which is chewy but has little bounce). All that to say, it's VERY hard to get the bubbles right. But somehow Nihao does it!

THAT SAID... Nihao does have fewer options for toppings compared to some other places. Some people in my family love to add pudding and grass jelly, which Nihao does not have.

Also, personally, I'm not picky about the tea. I know some people do not like the powdered mixes. There's no question that actual brewed tea with milk tastes better. But imo that's small potatoes! I can brew and mix the perfect cup of milk tea by myself at home. What I'm unable to do is obtain good quality tapioca and cook it to perfection!

OH! ALSO! Nihao is about $1-2 cheaper per drink than every other bubble tea place in Binghamton!🧋”

“I get the coconut chicken every time and it’s always good. If it is door dashed sometimes it's cooler, that’s not their fault as dashers make stops along the way. The lady and her son are super nice. Is their restaurant so if they want to eat in it they can n where ever they want. I’ve seen it in bodegas ALL OVER BROOME COUNTY ! some of these negative reviews are weird. Like who weighs their food! They aren’t guarenteed to give you EXACTLY THE SCOOPS OF RICE AND 20 pieces of chicken. Could be a little more or less! I’m sure gas for their delivery of THEIR PRODUCTS FACTOR IN AS WELL! I remember a yr nobody could get tomatoes! Like be fair in judging! Of it’s consistent then ok just don’t eat there! But if a one time thing try again! They have been open along time. That says something!!! I love them. N their family!”

“Two hot, steaming, fresh chili dogs first thing in the morning. My fiancee says that hot dogs aren’t breakfast food, so I asked if they could put a fried egg on them for me.

Pete (the owner, extremely nice fella) didn’t hesitate to accommodate. We had a great chat while he was cooking up my food and I felt beyond welcome. This is the kind of cornerstone small business that holds small towns together in times like this. I cannot recommend the food and service here enough, let alone the classic all-American atmosphere.

“I love finding places like this on a whim. There didn't seem to be much of a good selection and it was written out with a sharpie on a piece of stock board.. but don't let that fool you. The food and service were absolutely over the top. The lamb over rice was mouth watering. I tasted a hint of cinnamon but I don't know if it was the rice or lamb. My girlfriend got the chicken over rice and she too absolutely loved it. Then to make an awesome experience even better, they sell yoo-hoo !!!!!”
