Delicious food! Amazing customer service! Thanks so much!

We stayed here twice - once in February and then in October! We loved it here. Everything was perfect - the sauna, coffee, freshly baked pastries, the vibe :) (oh we also watched a movie at the Starlite motel in the pandemic year and that was amazing!) we bought the signature pink Starlite motel hoodies and it's one of my most fave things to wear (and people in that area instantly recognize the brand! we got a ton of compliments and someone even asked to take a pic so they can send it to the Starlite motel owners!). Huge thank you for restoring this eye candy of a place and keeping it in this great shape! I will be back (I'm literally about to book another stay!)

I can say that this is spot on as far as being a comfortable place to stay, the room is adorable, very clean, very nice amenities, and the list goes on. The property is so charming, with a pool, rear decks and so much more. Every morning, one gets a text when the muffins are delivered around 8:30 AM. There is a coffee pot in the room and a retro Fridge. The room is compact yet there is a place for everything. The bathroom was also in keeping with the retro theme. The owners do whatever they can to make ones stay enjoyable. Alix always responded to my texts whether it was for a restaurant suggestion or a shopping suggestion. If you are anywhere near this area of the Catskills or even if you want to plan a weekend getaway-keep this place on the top of your list. We also loved having brunch at the Kerhonkson Diner right down the street. The owner went the extra mile to let me know I left something back in the room before I even know it was missing and sent it to me immediately. Alix wouldn’t even accept payment. This is the kind of place it is at the Starlite Motel.

This renovated classic motel has been done up with all the hipster amenities: quality pour-over coffee, Bluetooth radios, artisanal popcorn in minibar-style basket, and a copy of Accidentally Wes Anderson on the window bench. The towels are as thick and posh as those at a five-star luxury hotel, the beds are comfortable, and the showers are good. There are even rooms in trailers, as well as a pool, fire pit, and outdoor movie screen. It’s far and away the coolest place to stay in the area. The only things keeping it from getting a fifth star is the lack of onsite services (they do respond quickly if you ask for something via text, but there’s no staff onsite, and no housekeeping during your stay) and the way noise carries between rooms. To be fair, that’s an issue at all old motels, and they try hard to prevent late-night partying. All in all, it’s a fun, comfortable spot. No restaurant, but they deliver excellent muffins on weekends, and the Kerhonksen Diner a short drive away is good for old-school breakfast.

The food is OK, but it's a super unreliable business. Almost impossible to figure out what they are actually serving for food, and whether you'll find a specific food item at the Bodega or if it's only at the food truck which is always somewhere else. They have gf options but you'll have to ask whst they are, as I said they never have a menu posted and when they do it won't specify what's gf. And of that item is available at both locations or not. They are not good at replying to comments or messages asking these types of simple questions. Spend your money somewhere else.

Baba food truck/ Bodega now have expanded hours and days which is fantastic. The storefront is beautiful and well curated with food and home goods. The truck is still serving delicious, creative sandwiches, salads, drinks, etc. Great flavors, reasonably priced, and it's all vegan! Support this ethical business run by a lovely couple!! I discovered Starlite on Instagram and also watched their feature on the Magnolia Network and was very excited to stay here when I booked my weekend. I booked the queen balcony room and I was pretty bummed at how tiny the room was ( especially for the price.) The bed was against the wall so it was a bit inconvenient to have to keep climbing over my partner to get in and out. The outside picnic table area and pool were left unkempt the entire time we were there. The chairs were all over the place, the tables were messy, and I didn’t see anyone there to clean the pool. I was expecting the food truck and bodega store to be open, but it seemed closed the whole time as well. To purchase s’mores it was $12 but the fire pit was never turned on at night. I understand that it is a small business, but I feel like there lacked attention to detail as well as maintenance overall. To communicate with someone from the motel it was done via text which is fine, most places do that now, but there should have been someone physically on site to at least clean up the outdoor area. It all felt very do it yourself. I am usually not picky when I stay at places, but as having paid the price I did, it just seemed like it lacked some TLC. I wish I could have had the same experience as the other 5 star reviews, but unfortunately my partner and I did not, and we would not go back or recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the Starlite Motel. We were in the area for a wedding. There were so many thoughtful, personal touches, and the room was so comfortable. The service was excellent, too! We'd highly recommend it to anyone considering it. We'll definitely be back.

Cute vegan food truck and small shop located next door to a trendy motel. When we went they only had three items on the menu we we tried them all. Break burrito, waffles, and summer salad. They also gave us two desserts- a fruit oat bar and rice pudding. Everything was super tasty! The store has some great items including vegan cheeses, drinks, skin care, and CBD. The owners are also super friendly and took our request about what items are soy free versus seriously. Updated from previous review on 2022-06-22

Updated 6-2022 I loved their food and I live minutes from them. But the food has gone down imo. The last two times I left their unsatisfied. I had some spring rolls that left literally a tablespoon of oil in the bottom of the serving platter. It was inedible and really disappointing. This is more extreme than some other times, but I do not remember the last time I left their satisfied at all. Another issue is their lack of accurate or easy to find hours. Example "We are open 11am-4pm for the Bodega and the New Food Truck with an All New Menu" Show up Friday at 1:30 pm and I am told we have no food today as they are at the Ellenville Market. No problem with being at the market, but don't post the day before about your new menu. I brought them from 5 to 3 stars and was tempted to go to 2, but I want them to improve, back to where they were. Tried it for the first time today and I was blown away by the quality, low cost and friendly staff. They only has four things on their menu and I tried them all. Pizza- Really good with a pesto drizzle and chunks of vegan ricotta Rampesto- Amazing and I am sure seasonal, so I will need it again this week. An amazing ramp pesto served with pasta. Mac and Cheeze-Better than most, but the rampesto was such a star it made it a bit of a second-class for this meal. J*** Tofu Sandwich- Great blend of flavors with the hot and cold, the only small complaint is I would have preferred maybe slices of tofu over the big block they served. But really, really good flavor. The prices were more than reasonable for a strictly vegan food truck. Once they step up their online presence and get to more places more often there will be lines for them. Updated from previous review on 2020-05-17

I spent two fun days during March 2022 exploring Kerhonkson, NY. The Starlite Motel’s nostalgic vibe draws you in from the moment you arrive. The motel’s vintage facade is visually engaging. I booked one of the King Rooms and it did not disappoint. My room had a super comfy bed, a 1960s pink tiled bathroom, an adorable retro mini refrigerator, pour over coffee station, and a private deck to sit and relax outside. Super convenient contactless check-in is provided and it’s easy to contact the owners (if you need anything or have any questions). There is a lively outdoor space with an in-ground pool, giant movie screen, and a barrel sauna. A quick drive down the road and you can enjoy savory, homemade pierogies from Helena Specialty Pierogies or visit the the largest garden gnome (Gnome Chomsky/Kelder’s Farm ). Kerhonkson offers long winding scenic roads, special eats, fruitful farms, and a “home away from home” sentimental gem that is The Starlite Motel!
