Outpost BBQ at the Kerhonkytonk Roadhouse

I ordered the brisket and pulled pork combo. I couldn’t tell the difference between the two meats. Who shreds brisket? Not at all what I was expecting. I like to see smoke rings in my brisket not have it shredded covered in sauce.

Love the atmosphere of the place especially on karaoke night, which is every thursday, the food is good, the wings, and burgers are very good, the service is okay, the food is decently priced, and with groups of six or more gratuity is included so no need to tip. All in all had a good time have gone back a few times.

Love bbq and little side of the road joints. Traveled through the deep south and have tried a lot. Love me some Rodney Scott's. And Outpost BBQ stands with them.
You know good meat when you can eat all of it and it's amazing - meat, fat, bone. Just sitting there getting all the flavor you can. Their brisket, top notch. Loved their beans and mac and cheese.
My belly was full and my wallet didn't take a punch. The type of spot you need and want for a great easy meal.

I absolutely LOVE this place. When I traveled out there on the weekends 6 hours away from home I would always make a pit stop or 2 here. My favorite is the brisket and chicken combo, Mac and cheese with greens and cornbread. So yummy. Reminds me of home Southern cooking. And the regular bbq sauce is finger licking good.

This might have been the best experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The staff and place was MAGICAL, they hung out while we ate. It felt like being with friends. And the BBQ is damn good. Thursday nights have a super legit karaoke set up. Run, don’t walk to this honkytonk.

The food took forever but that's ok because there was a large party of people there before us. Its the food that really was awful. All the sides were horrible. Meat was eh. I pray I don't get sick from the little bit I ate. We still tipped because it wasn't the waitresses fault. Also why no water for the table... I can't say enough how bad this food was and for what we spent not worth it. Don't go here

We attended their car show, the property itself is absolutely beautiful for being right on route 209. Ashamed to say our family just ate their for the very 1st time last weekend 😢 and im totally kicking myself in the ass, because the BBQ PLATTERS were not only phenomenal in flavor,that chicken and brisket literally melted in your mouth it was so incredibly smooth and moist. The perfect ratio!! Best part for just 25bucks I highly recommend their platters as it comes with an option of brisket & chicken or rib & chicken plus choice of 2 sides from many unique amd delicious side dishes & don't forget your corn bread! That platter seemed as if it would feed a couple, but my platter fed myself, my 10yr old my 6 yr oldn & my 3 yr old! Has become our new fave place & we have slim pickings out here as far as restaurants and deli lol

It was overpriced for the portions we were given. Additionally, the pulled pork had no taste to it and was pretty poor. The mac and cheese was very dry and terrible. Its not that hard to make mac and cheese.

Further, we were served on paper plates. For what we paid, they should use real silverware and real plates.

Very disappointed.. It was a Saturday evening and the place was empty..

My friend and his wife both had the brisket sandwich. I took the 3 pounds to go and I, made 2 brisket tacos from it. And then I gave it all away, because it was shit. I don't know if it was old. If it was just oily and dried out. But yeah, it wasn't good. I won't buy brisket there again. After this last experience, and its been one of many. Oh, and my friend's son that finished his wife's half a sandwich. Had nothing but an upset stomach for the following day
