Food was yummy. Service was very good.
There were three of us, we shared 6 different plates and had plenty of delish food. Other reviews said “cozy atmosphere” - perfect description. We will return.

Had an amazing evening at Isola. The wine list is so unique and they did a great job helping us navigate which wines to try. So many good ones! The food was delicious and my favorite way to eat while drinking wine. Lots of small plates that are inventive yet refined. Our faves were the chickpea cake and chicken liver mousse. Can’t wait to go back!

A breathe of fresh air for the Kinderhook region! Hillary is the wine genius behind the distinctive pours, and Chef Fernando wields a masterful hand in the kitchen. (My favorite dish is the Panisse!) Small Tapas Bites + Wines = Delicious. A must visit for those heading upstate!

Parking: Hillary the owner brought New York City excellence with Isola while still keeping a cozy Kinderhook feel. The wine list is one of a kind from regions all outside of the US, making this wine bar experience unique from start to finish. The staff is warm and welcoming and the ambience is just as delicious as the wine and tapas. If you like wine as much as I do and sometimes just want that little extra half glass..they happily serve half glass pours ! Go check it out yourself, you will not be disappointed !

Wow we loved everything about this place. The food was SO good, every single dish was delicious, as was the wine! We sat at the bar and the owner, Hillary suggested wines to pair with each tapas- both the wine and the tapas were incredible. The design of the space was beautiful as well, great vibes in there!

a cute and beautifully designed space with tasty tapas and good wine! I’ve been here a couple times now and my favorite dishes have been the eggplant caponata, the scallops, the mushroom squash toast and the tuna tartare. there is such a great array of wine and the last time I was there I had this incredible red wine that’s hard to pronounce that was delicious…and I’m usually not a red wine drinker! it’s a good place for a wine lover as they have wines that are made in small production that aren’t easily found in store. the service is friendly and prompt and also patient as I asked a lot of questions about the food and the wines. I would suggest this spot as a date night, not great for groups of four as the tables are a bit small, although I believe there was one big table.

Isola is such an amazing addition to the Village! The thoughtful menu and wine selection is elevated without being stuffy. I sat at the bar and shared a beautiful selection of small dishes with my friend and we can't wait to go back. A family-owned, warm, inviting, cozy experience.

Isola is a cozy, friendly, beautifully designed and seriously delicious new addition to Kinderhook Village. A well curated wine list that focuses on island and coastal wines (Isola means island in Italian), as well as beer and vermouth and a few NA options all selected by Hillary, the warm sommelier owner. The tapas are all stellar. Go for a light bite and glass of something new to try. Pro tip: Don't miss the chickpea pie.

This! This is what we’ve been needing here, Isola is a breath of fresh air. I walked in and immediately relaxed, the vibes are immaculate. We sat at the bar and the owner, Hillary, was so welcoming and informative. She knows her wine. I had a glass of orange and it was perfect. And the scallop crudo? Are you kidding me? I wanted to order 8 more all to myself. I’ve been missing a truly great and interesting wine list since Lawrence Park in Hudson closed, and now here it is, even closer to me. Making this my regular spot. 10/10
