Impressive little spot for a glass of wine, beer, or a snack. We were visiting Kinderhook on a summer Saturday. Nice seating inside and out. Helpful, kind staff who made excellent recommendations. Fried Bologna sandwich was tempting. However, took the gentleman's advice and your opted for the Duck Reuben. Yummy!

Great gem in the Capital Region. How good can a grilled cheese sandwich be? Give it a shot - the cheese was excellent. The bread perfectly crispy and buttered. Their tinned dishes were excellent - loved the razor clams and the beer selection was 💯!

We loved this place so much. The staff was so kind and easy to talk to. The food was wonderful. We had the landlord board and the chèvre and honey sandwich. Both were incredible, so simple, but in a very elegant way.
At the end of our meal, my husband and I were talking about how we didn’t feel like the place was stuffy or too high brow for people who just want a relaxed experience. A bar, but really felt like having a nice lunch at a good friends house.
We absolutely loved it and it’s our new favorite place in the area.
Kid friendly too! There was a high chair, books, and crayons available.

A nice selection of beers, a well put together cheese board, all made for a good dinner. But what will keep me coming back. Their grilled cheese. The grilled Blue Cheese and the grilled Kimchi were delicious. Crispy sourdough outside, soft gooey center, each cheese and it's accompaniment perfectly balanced, a crunch with every bite.
I've had fancier grilled cheese sandwiches, but you don't need fancy if the execution is perfect. It was here.
We love to stop here for lunch after riding bikes on the Empire Trail. Atmosphere is homey, service is great, grilled cheese is tasty with unique touches and the best is the beer selection. It is small so if you plan to come with a group of 6 you will need to make sure the big room is not taken.
