Best farm in upstate NY, nice staff. The apples and strawberries are flavorful.

Last year, it was one of the few farms we've found where we can pick our own chestnuts off of the ground/pick them at all. Planning on doing an outing redux this year! (Caution: We saw patrons knocking chestnuts off of trees last year, and it's not proper to pick them when they're still on the tree).

I visited the Orchard for the corn maze, and it didn't disappoint! It’s easily one of the best & biggest corn mazes around. If you love wandering through twisting paths in the crisp fall air, this is the perfect adventure. Be ready to spend an hour or more if you plan to find all eight stations, but that’s part of the fun. A great way to get start the season! Then wrap up your visit with some creamy soft-serve ice cream and an apple cider donut (or two or a dozen).

It's sad to see a nasty tourist trap at what used to be a nice local farm. They blocked the exits creating traffic jams out of nowhere and started to charge $5 fee per person. And the produce is even more expensive than a Hannaford nearby! We were sweating miserably in the field picking blueberries to pay $2 a pound while they were $1.67 at a grocery store. NEVER AGAIN.

Never again!

Never again!
We visited this farm for the first time this afternoon and were immediately charged an entrance fee, $5/person, plus $2.75 for three bags, with the promise of a discount at checkout.

We came for Honeycrisp apples and pears, but all the Honeycrisp trees were bare, and despite driving around, we never found signs for pears. Within 10 minutes, we decided to leave and just buy some already-picked fruit.

At checkout, the worker brought out a crate of apples that he admitted were picked 2–3 weeks ago—yet they were still double the price of the “pick your own.” When we declined to buy them, he became annoyed and insisted on checking our trunk before we left. He searched every nook as if we were criminals.

In the end, we paid $10.25 for nothing more than a disappointing 8–10 minute ride around the farm. There many other friendlier farms around to choose from.

Gorgeous orchards with a staggering variety of apples. They don't charge extra for honeycrisps and have an abundance of honeycrisp and crisp variety apples. There were also tomatoes, concord grapes, beautiful pepper varieties, etc and a truly respectful crowd. I think the entrance fee is worthwhile to help maintain the farm and the quality that they offer. Very happy to support this business. Oh and also they have the BEST apples at the Troy farmer's market.

Great place. Very nice people and a lot of different things to pick. The team had a Great time and as a coach I was super happy to see them picking apples and vegetables over Doritos and red bull. So it was a plus for me. Thank you for your kindness. It off set bad experience at Golden Harvest.

Honestly, the best cider donut I’ve ever had.

Beautiful farm. Great fall vibes. They had a great selection of pumpkins (carved pumpkins pictured are from this farm) delicious apple cider made from their apples. Overall had a great time and left happy.

Good variety of pumpkins. Charged $5 per person to enter PYO. They offer a 10% discount if you spend over $20 on produce, but who knows if we got it. They calculate what you owe and don't show you or offer a receipt. We went in inside for ice cream, and when I looked up for a list of offerings and pricing, there was a giant list of license plate #s that was labeled
"caught stealing" and "no entry allowed." We will go elsewhere next year. Too many changes, none of the feels.

Plenty of apples to pick when we went. $1 a pound.

They search your vehicle when you check out and it’s pretty weird. They got TSA grade security checks up in this place lol. The guy even opened up my spare tire compartment and left it open(I noticed after I got home). Might as well have given me a strip search at that point too

The orchard was awesome! My family had a fantastic time picking apples, and the experience was even better than we imagined. The atmosphere was beautiful, the apples were plentiful, and we all enjoyed a perfect day outdoors. Highly recommend for a fun and memorable family outing!

My family loves Samascott! There’s no corn maze, tractor rides or farm animals to feed. It is an orchard with LOTS of choices to pick. You can drive through the orchard which is expansive. I like this so much more than some of the competitors. Many competitors are so busy, that you’re bumping into other families. Samascott has a different feel. They also have chestnuts trees which is another huge draw for my family as it’s very unique. We will continue to return every year!
