Bright Leaf Vineyard is hands down the best winery in the Finger Lakes! My wife and I have been coming here since Mike and Donna first opened, and it’s been our favorite spot ever since. We love it so much that we became Wine Club Members, and their quarterly shipments of wine are always a highlight.
What really sets Bright Leaf apart is how much care and passion Mike and Donna put into their wines. You can truly taste the difference—their wines stand out in a region full of great options. They take so much pride in their craft, and it shows in every bottle. The warm, welcoming atmosphere is a reflection of their dedication to making the experience special for everyone who visits.

Such a cozy atmosphere inside and great views of the lake and property. Wonderful selection of estate wines. The best is their semi-dry Riesling and the cab sauv :) Mike, the owner has a great personality. This is a small family run winery. Definitely worth a visit. It's a little hard to find but just follow your GPS Google map directions.

I'm almost upset at how wonderful this winery is. I may be spoiled for all the other wineries in the region. I have had the most peaceful, enjoyable experience that I've had yet in the Finger Lakes region. Granted, it's the middle of the week just off season, but it is so relaxing, and the wines... The wines I can't adequately describe in this review. Absolutely top of the line. Cab Sav is too good. The unoaked chard totally fooled me as another wine. This winery is incredible.

Pretty view. Greeted by staff so tired of being Greeted " HI GUYS" What happened to being called folks, ladies or gentlemen?? Never have we been told to take a seat and here is the menu pick 4 and I will bring you out a flat! No telling us about their wine other than reading it off the paper. Worst winery tasting we have ever had. Didn't buy anything wine.

Poor experience ! Poor customer service !! Scolded twice for consuming our own foods despite a Medical condition that prevented purchasing on site foods . At the first scolding we immediately put our snacks away as instructed. The second included the loud direction “ I’ve told you twice now. . “ to stop eating. The eating involved a member of our group snacking on chips concealed in a bag . This member could not consume anything off the menu. Please consider other dietary choices / restriction as not a direct insult to your rules but “ not everyone is the same ..”

Their wines are really good. Staff informative, efficient and kind. We attended recent strawberry-themed chef-created 3-course dinner on covered patio. Lovely way to meet others. Gorgeous views of Cayuga Lake. Highly recommend!
The staff was incredible friendly, the wine was excellent (I especially loved the oaked chardonnay, which I don’t usually like), and the view is spectacular. So family friendly too! We came with our one year old, and they even had a toy car for her to drive around in! Will definitely be back.
