We had the best time at dinner. The food was so fresh and tasty. The breading on the clams tasted so good. Everything we had tasted homemade and fresh. I can’t wait to go back again. I would go everyday if it were closer to me. I live in Albany.
We have had the opportunity to dine at the Bowery Dougout many times. It never disappoints. Probably the best seafood in the Hudson’s Valley. The restaurant was owned and operated by local resident Bruce’s Paley for many years and was sold several years ago to I believe a relative who was smart enough to not try and re invent the wheel keeping the place running basically the same as it had been.
I think it was August 16th. We had a big family get together for a baby shower. We ate downstairs, where it was dark and cool. The food was great the atmosphere was calming but most of all our server Beth was what made our trip special. Our server Beth was a quick-witted almost Roseanne Barr type of server, with a great attitude on life and makes one hell of a mojito!! I tried frog legs for my first time. I plan to go again the next time I'm in the Catskills to visit family....
