I will give 2 stars for FOH service - food quality is rather sad to say the least. Complimentary french fries - salty. Beets and burrata salad - bland. Duck bao buns smelled weird. Spicy tuna roll.... Let's just say - please stop making rolls there - it's worse if someone made it for the first time in their own kitchen. Pasta was ok. The waitress was amazing and sweet but the chef needs to go.

First time here and everything was surprisingly good! We got there at 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon and they had just swapped to Dinner service which was just right for us. Jenny had the chicken and I had the special pork chop and both were good. Service was very good! Both the hostess and our server (who looked just like the Duchess of Sussex except with a pleasant demeanor and a smile) were excellent. The place is relaxing and nicely decorated. We spent 90 minutes here, so don't expect a quick "in and out". Thanks - we'll be back!

We made reservations but we really didn't need to cuz the place was a ghost town. It took at least 15 minutes of silence before we were even offered coffee or tea or something to drink very uncomfortable. We both ordered off the brunch my husband's eggs benedict was the worst that he's ever had, they didn't even toast the English muffins. My Caesar salad I turned it back into them it was dry not enough dressing not enough parmesan. I surprised my husband by taking him there and it was a bad decision.

Everyone here was so nice and attentive! Somehow the reservation got submitted through Resy as 6 instead of 7, and then we ended up showing up with 8, but the hostess was so kind about it, like no worries, we'll make it work. :) Our waitress was so good about keeping us with hot coffee and checking in the perfect amount. Food was yummy, drinks were good (my sister even requested something off menu, and you all made it with a smile!). On our way out all the staff waved and told us to have a good day. It was a perfect brunch. Thank you!

The service was very good. We were promptly seated after locating the hostess station in the rear of the restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Was quick to the table and getting our drink orders. The drinks were not very good. I ordered the maple smoked old fashion that was presented very well but tasted extremely watered down. My wife ordered a martini that tasted very good but the drink size portion was small considering they placed 3 large olives in the glass which occupied a lot of space. Our other two friends had wine and beer which were satisfactory. The appetizers were the pretzels sticks, wagu beef tartare and a spicy tuna roll. All of them tasted very good. The dinners orders were tasty. But came out extremely fast after the appetizers. Unfortunately the portions were on the smaller size for the larger price tags. The lobster pot pie, which was more along the lines of a bowl of lobster bisque with a crostini on top, my Ahi tuna which was a small piece of tuna very nicely prepared served over what tasted like the Cardamom Sticky Rice which was slightly dried out, the burger which was very fairly priced came well cooked with a nice side of onion rings and the Wild Mushroom Truffle raviolis which were very good and a decent portion. We ordered two desserts for the table an awesome ice cream cookie sandwich plate and a dismantled Smores plate which again came well presented but the marshmallow was extremely tough and chewy and had an extremely amount of smoke flavor which slightly over powered the dessert.Over all the restaurant was a busy bustling restaurant with a very nice ambiance. The bar appeared to be very crowded as we entered. We left feeling the food tasted ok, nothing spectacular, but nothing horrible. The pricing was definitely high especially for the special drinks and has a very NYC atmosphere. We felt that while the service was good it was a bit rushed considering we literally sat, drank, ate apps, dinner and dessert under 1.5 hrs. Basically we still had apps on the table and the dinner arrived. It could be slowed down a bit.Average experience for the above Average pricing.

I’m not sure how this place has gotten good reviews. The prices are outrageous for what you get. Everything sounds and looks fancy until you start eating, in which case it begins to taste like cheap products transformed into something that looks appealing, but tastes below subpar. The chicken wings tasted freezer burnt, the broccolini was soggy and gross, the entrees were ok but again, $28 for amateur food. I’m sorry, but this place was really lacking in the quality one might expect for the price. In my opinion, the only pro about this place is the front of house staff, who were attentive and helpful. But I wouldn’t go here again for a full meal - there are far better places in Kingston.

This place is lovely. Atmosphere was great, relaxed. Got lollipop chicken wings, they literally fell off the bone. Both of our dinners were delicious and can't forget how amazing the complimentary duck fat fries were! Abby was our waitress and she was lovely. My new favorite place. A must visit and a will return!

We made a reservation for two and got this great table in a nook away from everyone else. Service was friendly and efficient. I had the bramble and my date had an old fashion- both were delicious! For dinner I ordered the curry and my date had the steak. He said it was more medium-well than medium-rare, but that it was still good- we were impressed by the butter melted at the table! Fun touch! The food was a little expensive but it was delicious and it was a fun, special experience! The complimentary duck fat fries were delicious and appreciated :)

Amazing food, wonderful service, and an interesting layout - this place is a great value for your money in Kingston. They have unique menu items that you won't find elsewhere. Duck fat fries, General Tso's crispy chicken sandwich, sushi tacos, and fun mocktails, to name a few. At the core it is a tradition American fare menu with Brickmen's added creative flair. Overall the experience was awesome. Our waitress Alexis was great! Here are my notes: - food took a while from ordering to getting to table - duck fat fries were good but felt like they could be crispier (we believe they make them ahead and reheat them) - vanilla earl grey blackberry mocktail tasted like a candle (it was just very sweet - up to you if you're into it) - the host stand being at the back of the place when you walk in was awkward to get to! the bar and tables were filled so you had to squeeze through everyone. - food was high quality, chicken and beef burger were both great

I'm not sure how I hadn't heard of Brickmen before now, but here we are. We had an early reservation on a Saturday night, and it was PACKED. Have to say, the layout of the place isn't my favorite, but work with what you've got! You have to walk through the bar area to the host stand, the bathrooms are behind that, and there's a kitchen visible in both the bar area and the dining room area. Again - PACKED, and we had to wait a couple minutes, awkwardly by the hostess/bathrooms/practically in a bar diner's lap. Appetizers - lollipop wings....meh. Big, but the sauce wasn't anything impressive and they weren't crispy enough for my liking. The short rib dumplings, however.... I didn't taste Thai basil, but I'd go back for the dumplings alone. SO. GOOD. Entrees - my husband got the fried chicken, and it was fine. The best part of his plate was the corn soufflé - good heavens, that's a delight. I got the short rib cavatelli, which took me a long time to decide on because I am not a mushroom fan. Thankfully, our FANTASTIC waitress told me she doesn't love mushrooms either and I can get it without. It was amazing. Large portion also! This was far and away the most staffed food establishment I've seen since before Covid - and every staff member we interacted with were professional and fantastic. It was SO NICE to see so many people working in a restaurant.
