A total gem! Excellent food and delicious drink options
Great list of natural wine by the glass. Good service. Nice little outdoor tables on the sidewalk. Definitely going back.
Brunette is a really special place. It somehow manages to feel both upscale and relaxed, family friendly and uber chic, welcoming and cool, a real neighborhood gem. Every glass of wine I’ve had there has been sensational, and they lowkey have some of the best food in Kingston. Wonderful staff and owners and they play some great music. It’s always a good time at Brunette!
Brunette makes my heart so happy. The attention to details down to the menu design (even the website!) is beyond. It’s the most romantic spot you can take yourself to or share with someone. You can never go wrong ordering the “currently drinking” from the menu (or any other wine they have mindfully selected, really) and I highly suggest ordering just about anything and everything on the menu that Chef Max makes. Truly think he’s one of the best chefs around these parts. Go take yourself out for a glass of wine plus a bite and experience the warm hug this place gives you.
My partner and I stopped in for a nightcap and the fresh baked cookie, and were so in love by the time we left! The tables are spaced out nicely so you have a bit of breathing room, and the establishment’s bathroom was warm - the first spot we found all weekend in Kingston on a winter weekend that didn’t have a chilly toilet experience. 😂
Our lovely server, Jessie, helped us both find a glass that suited our tastes. I found a new favorite natural red, it was absolutely spot-on for my palette. The cookie was a perfect portion for two with no leftovers or stomachache. We loved the time we spent there!
Very cozy wine bar with excellent variety and selection with helpful tasting descriptions, didn't have a chance to try the appetizers but the skillet cookie was great!
A weekend in Kingston is not complete without a stop here. The menu is always rotating with interesting wines. The bites are yummy and they make good espresso. The decor is very thoughtful and creates a nice, intimate vibe. That combined with relaxed but attentive service makes it such a great spot to get an afternoon or evening drink. I love love this place.
We started with 3 plates. And then proceeded to order the rest of the main menu. Absolutly incredible. The service. The food. Flavours I had never experienced before. We’re not from around here and don’t think we’ll ever make it back and it makes me sad. So glad this was our choice for dinner tonight.

Did anyone mention that this place is a great date spot? It’s so intimate, and chill. Everything tastes great, and I think my favorite part is the playlist. I always love the music here.
