Quality has really gone downhill over the years not the same bakery it was over 20 or 30 years ago although they were floundering in early 2000s i used to go for sunday brakfast often and stopped because they cant get food to the table. I ordered a very simple cake and they made the wrong thing called to complaint about it and got hung up on. No one bothered calling me back it was a minute before closing and despite just talking to a manager she could not call back. Truly disgusting cake. They took the order right cuz the girl read it back to me but the first bakery person i spoke with said it says buttercream i said it shouldn't she said the guy my husband looked but he couldn't see past the top. The guy lifted up the top of the box and it looked like the right thing ganache but couldn't tell that the whole side of the cake was white icing nobody said anything about buttercream. Nasty white buttercream with ganache on top if I was the bakery i would have called and said is this really what u want cuz its bizarre and gross. This was for my husband's 50th Birthday. Not the first small cake I've had screwed up. My sister's wedding cake was not what she ordered. She paid an extra 200 bucks for strawberries on top n did not get them or a refund. She was very upset and almost in years when we got to the reception. It really sucks this was a decent bakery many decades ago. Not worth the time and money and energy dealing with them or parking there. It's overpriced considering quality. Customer service has always been poor there as they usually have a bad attitude on top of slow service. Get cake at Hannaford if u want a regular cake same or better quality n they do special orders. Adam's has really good cakes. You guys lost the business of a lifelong Kingston resident. Coffee has always been bad brown water and the bagels are just round bread go to Sunshine bagels for best in town.

A true Kingston staple. Deising’s has been serving the community for years and it shows in the quality of their food and service. Great baked goods, great breakfast and lunch options, and always a pleasant experience. Proud to support a local business like this.

Make sure that when you order a cake you call again the next day to make sure they don’t forget to make it.
HUGE INCONVENIENCE!!!

We’ve been coming here for nearly seven years and have brought many friends. It’s been one of our regular local spots.

Recently I ordered a double espresso and was served two separate single espressos in different cups, charged individually at $7.50 total. This wasn’t explained upfront. When I mentioned that a double espresso is normally two shots in one cup at a single price, I was told, “This is how we do it at Deising.”

What disappointed me most was the attitude. The interaction felt unnecessarily argumentative and unfriendly, which honestly turned me off the bakery a little. A bit of clarity and courtesy would have made all the difference. Just a heads up that here, a “double” means two separately charged singles.

I had the best breakfast wrap I’ve ever had here. It was a country omelet with hash browns and sausage wrapped inside a garlic herb wrap and I’m still thinking about it three days later. Coffee is good also. Didn’t have the donuts. I’d totally recommend this place.

If you are looking for a delicious king cake in the area this is the place. I am from Louisiana and this one was better than most of the ones back home. Baby, beads, and mask included!

Went for lunch… The deli roast beef was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the potato salad was freshly made in-house. Will go back!

We have been customers here since the 90s for good reason. Fresh baked goods, being a plus. My review is aimed at food service. In more recent times, the staff seems to forget friendliness. Nobody checks back to see what may be needed once food is brought. We went there today for lunch, they sat us, and we waited a half hour with no wait staff at all, no drink. I went to see why. Sat, nobody came. I went a second time to staff standing at the check out to see what the delay was. We walked out! I'm hopeful that this review shakes things up a little. The Deisings are wonderful people!
