Was a bit weary coming to this place due to mixed reviews on here. But this place had a bit higher rating than the other diners in Kingston.Our waitress was very friendly, food came out in under 10 minutes. Seems like many locals come here, staff greeting them with friendliness. Atmosphere is nice diner feel.I ordered a veggie breakfast wrap. It was very delicious with egg, spinach, onion, & broccoli and came with potato hash. Also ordered strawberry waffles, strawberries were obviously not fresh, from frozen and way too much whipped cream.It’s what to expect w diner food, stick to the basics eggs, pancakes, omelets. Really good price, group of three we all ate under $11 each.

Overall not a great diner experience. Food was across the spectrum - one dish undercooked (chicken), other (red meat) was well overdone. waitress was alrightOwner was fantastic and in good spirits and made the overall dining experience better on her own. Perhaps the kitchen staff was just having an off day.
Good old school diner. The kind that sadly one can't find in most cities anymore. Friendly service, tasty diner fare, big portions.I had a turkey burger, bowl of seafood gumbo and a beer. My bill was just over 20 bucks I think. It's right next to the Trailways terminal. If you're catching a bus to the city or dacks, it's worth building in a little extra time to get a sandwich!

I simply don't understand all the "awesome" comments I used when choosing Dietz for a simple and inexpensive dinner. Three courses in my meal - and the glass of water was the best part. Main course was so terrible I only had two bites. Side was par at best. Appetizer was meh. Soup was bland. And it wasn't even that cheap overall. I was raised on diner food so it's not like I'm judging out of character. I hate to leave a bad review but maybe this will save the next person from making the same mistake.

Stopped by for lunch a week ago with a party of 10 and everything was great!! Our waiters were super quick to serve and very attentive even though it was busy and there were a lot of us. I ordered eggs Benedict and they were top notch. Menu has a great variety of classic diner fare. I'll be back if I'm ever in the area again :)Parking: Parking lot seems scant from the street side, but if you pull in there's plenty more in the back.

I honestly had the worst dining experience here. The worst food, service (first impression, waitress looking out the window while greeting us and taking order) lack of professionalism from manager - running out of kitchen with pastry in her mouth to answer the phone. Both our dishes were inedible, Waitress disappeared into the kitchen for about 10 mins while we waited for our check - didn’t even ask if there was a problem with the food, she could see our plates were barely touched. The dirty stained tiles on the ceiling should really be replaced. That is a half hour of my life and $30 I will never get back. Never again!
