We came to get takeout for our anniversary and we were not disappointed! Mercedes and Team are so kind and generous and the food matched their energy - clearly made with love! We had the fish plate with 2 sides (Mac and cheese and coleslaw) the fried chicken plate with 2 sides (Mac and cheese and potato salad) and their dessert - coconut pineapple cake in a cup. All the food was excellent, especially the fried fish. Beautifully seasoned and prepared! Mac and cheese is very flavorful...
Maybe the best soul food I’ve ever had. Perfect ribs, incredibly flavorful collard greens and Mac and cheese, and magical sweet potato cornbread. Mercedes and her dad were so welcoming and sweet, and you could taste the home-cooking quality in every dish. Will for SURE be back!!!
I’m so glad my husband and I got off the highway and found this special place during our road trip. The owner Joe is so gracious and welcoming and immediately made us feel at home. And wow he’s an awesome cook. I had the shrimp and grits which were amazing. My husband had the equally tasty fried chicken with delicious sides. I highly recommend Good Eat’n and I hope to get back here myself on our next trip through the area!
