Half Moon Rondout Cafe Coffee and Donuts

The Babka is the best I had outside of the Mediterranean. The apple cider donuts are to die for. The drink specials are always on point. The sandwiches are smack-me-hard good. What can I say other than, you have to go here. This is my favorite cafe in the whole of the tristate area. I drive an hour just to go here! Highly recommended.

What a gem. Finally dropped in after living in Kingston for 4+ years. Unique curation of caffeinated beverages, donuts are nice too. Enjoyed my chat with the owner.

Really cute spot! Great food and coffee. You can tell the owner JT genuinely cares—not just about his business, but about people who come through the door and the community. Definitely worth the stop!

This place once was great! Not anymore! I went here the other day to order some hot drinks for my family. When inline I decided to order some donuts and hot soup. After getting my drinks promptly, I waited 15 minutes and started to get a little impatient and asked how my soup was doing. They said it’s almost ready. After another 15 minutes my drinks were getting cold and after waiting inline again I asked how my soup was doing and they said almost ready. I said my drinks are getting cold and that is the reason I came here. I then asked for my money back for the soups and that would not refund my soups. At that point I held back my frustration and asked for my have dozen of donuts and the lady handed me one donut. I said you all have had me here so long you don’t even remember my order. I felt so used and incredibly pissed off. I do not recommend this place.

Warm & welcoming & always worth the stop!! Fantastic coffee spot with delicious sandwiches and baked goods. Try the donuts…..and definitely the pastrami breakfast sandwich if you’re game.

My daily stomping grounds. It is a great place to stop in and be greeted by amazing staff to start your day! Their coffee, donuts, and pastries are all great. They try and keep things fresh. Constantly trying new things. Great people and great service!

My favorite donut shop of all time. Always make it a point to pop in for a coffee and donut or a breakfast sandwich whenever we are around. Great food, amazing service, and a cozy atmosphere makes this place perfect year round.

We are in from out of town and made fast friends with the owner JT, who took time out to write us a local guide. Not to mention the delicious donuts and coffee. The other reviewers here aren’t wrong with the high rating, except maybe the crazy Yelp lady who we won’t get into on this platform. Keep up the good work guys. Thank you!!

Came for the donuts, also got the crumb cake. The cider donut was good, crisp outside and soft inside. The Maple Bacon donut was pretty disappointing, it didn't seem to be that fresh, the bacon was good, but was the only other donut available while I was there. The strawberry Crumb Cake was the best part, not the best I've had but the jam made it unique and a nice addition.
