Had a craving for KFC tonight. When we got to the restaurant on Foxhall Ave, they told us that it would be about 20 minutes for anything with chicken. We decided to go somewhere else. After driving around for a while and not finding anything else we wanted to eat we decided to go back. This time they said it would be about 10. We ordered, paid and settled down in the parking lot. It didn't take 10 minutes, it was less.

We got our order and upon checking discovered that they had given us a wrong side. I went in to exchange it. When I went inside it smelled like burned fried chicken and there was a haze of smoke. The person at the counter was super nice though. He exchanged the side and we were on our way.

When we got home and opened everything up we discovered that the chicken was waaaaay overcooked. Like bordering on burned to a crisp. The skin tasted burned. In order to eat any of it we had to pick the skin off the pieces we ate. The chicken underneath the charred skin tasted fine. Then we started to eat the coleslaw. It tasted like a dishwasher, like dirty dishwasher water, with the most awful plastic taste and don't get me started on the aftertaste of the literal two bites I had. We thought maybe it was just the one container so we tried the other and had the same result. Both containers were utterly inedible and we simply threw them away.

Maybe this was just an off night for them, but $58.00 for terrible food will cause me to never go there again.

I went through drive thru and said that I want to order two separate orders. We were told to come to the window. The guy then proceeded to tell us that we can’t order two separate orders, we would have to drive back around for the second order.
I ask to speak to manager and he says he is the manager, which I know was a lie.

Why would we need to drive back around for a second order when we literally could just wait at window for a second, allow for the transaction to end, and then order again.

They must think people are stupid. So we only got one order.

After putting my order in and requested at least two Brest and two large sides. I was asked to wait on the side for them to bring it out to me. That took 20 min. My bill came to $29. This was with a $16. Coupon. I also asked for regular NOT CRISPY.
When I got home. Guess what I got! Crispy and no Brest. Mostly legs wings and three thighs. If I could they would get a big 0 stars.

I had to dump the entire order. What a waste of money. The order was as stale as yesterday. One can tell that the oil had been used for more than one day. Avoid. Your health is not worth the risk.

1/13/25 4:45pm crispy chicken was completely burnt the crispy was absolutely disgusting. Exchange it for regular couldn't eat because it was nothing but fat and uncooked. Kingston KFC is the worst ever. The store smells like burnt chicken when i went inside the 2nd time. This store manager should be fired and he has a bad attitude and he doesn't care about his workers or the customers. I don't recommend any try there luck being hungry with Kingston KFC it's a disappointment

The chicken look like it’s been leftover from last night. The breading is terrible. The chicken is very dry and tastes bitter. It seems like if the oil they use to fry the chicken hasn’t been changed for months.

Ordered through ubereats a spicy chicken combo w Mac & cheese as the side and the cherry poppers

Received the cherry poppers, a bag of fries and a drink. No chicken sandwich or the Mac & cheese , called the store and spoke to a female associate who didn’t fully understand what was happening then talked to a male associate who blamed the delivery driver. ( The bag came completely sealed there was no way the delivery driver took anything , I saw him exiting my driveway and he waved as I went to the porch. ). The associate did not offer to let me pick up the missing food or come up with any resolution other than to not acknowledge the restaurants mistake. Stuff happens and I get that but at least own it. Tried to salvage the fries but gave most to the dog as they were loaded with salt

Next time I am craving KFC I will go to the one in fishkill , they also have an A&W menu in the same store and the associates are much more polite. The ubereats driver was great and speedy , just the Kingston KFC that doesn’t own when they screw up.

I am giving the 2 stars because sometimes when you go in they are very polite.

Ordered online to pick up for drive thru.
No other customers at drive thru, but asked to pull forward. Over 5 minutes later waiting to have someone come out and tell me they didn’t have one of the sides I ordered. Picked something else, over 10 minutes later - no one comes out. Had to go in the restaurant and wait to have to deal with rude enployees. No management apparently anywhere.

Chicken was good, but french frie container was less than half full and tasted like they had a bath in salt water. Horrible.

Missing sauces I ordered and paid for too.
Just a mess of a place.

When I want chicken in the future, I’ll buy Perdue and cook it at home.

There are employees that just do their job and then there are employees that go the extra mile like the wonderful young lady that worked at KFC today, November 23, 2024 around 11AM.
We pulled up to the drive-thru to order 2 meals for some very hungry people and placed our order. We pulled up to the window to pay and the young lady there was nice and asked us what sauces we wanted for our tenders meal. We had to pull up to the front and wait for our food and she came out a few moments later to deliver the food to us and said she added honey and jam (we didn't ask for it) so we can enjoy our biscuits and then waved to us telling us to have a "wonderful morning". Sincere and genuine. When we got back, I opened the containers and saw her message (see pic attached).
Every establishment seems to be short staffed and to know that KFC had this one great employee, happy to be there and work, was refreshing. Shout out to this lovely young woman.

I recently visited the local KFC, and unfortunately, it’s a hit-or-miss experience. The place has a 2.5-star rating, which honestly feels justified based on my visits. One time, I pulled into the drive-thru, and no one even acknowledged I was there. I had to clear my throat loudly to get their attention, and instead of a polite response, the rep started yelling. By the time I got to the window, it was like walking into a war zone. The staff were arguing, and the person at the window was incredibly rude, practically throwing the food at me. It was an uncomfortable and disappointing encounter.

Other times I’ve visited, the restaurant has been consistently dirty. The floors are sticky, the tables haven’t been wiped down, and there’s often a lingering fishy smell, which is odd for a place that specializes in chicken. The food itself is okay, but the poor service and unclean environment really overshadow that. While KFC has its moments, this particular location seriously needs to step up its game in terms of cleanliness and customer service. Until then, it’s a 2.5-star experience at best.

I almost never post bad reviews but I have never had this bad of an experience with any fast food restaurant. I ordered on Uber eats and was so excited to try the fried chicken. It was red inside, 90% wasn’t edible, and the breading was absolutely disgusting. It broke my heart to have such a bad experience. Will not be ordering from here again.
