we wanted a birthday dessert surprise for a gluten free friend the next day. We ordered in afternoon. With helpful input from staff, we picked up the NEXT MORNING a gluten free passionfruit meringue pie . I could stick a Happy Birthday, C....... on it. Every person at the party loved it. It was an amazing and unusual treat. Pinkerton's, you rule!

Best bakery around - hands down. Not only are there baked goods to die for, their customer service is top notch. Makes everyone feel welcome and special. Always have some kind of tasty treat to sample and never disappoints. Also excellent coffee to boot!

Bonjour Rachel

My family and I spent a few days in the Kingston Area and were in the mood for some baked goods. I searched for a bakery nearby and landed on Pinkerton’s Bakery. I am so glad we did.

We ordered croissants, the (Jalapeño) monkey bread, brownies, rainbow cookies, and almond cookies. Everything was absolutely delicious.

The croissants were nice and buttery. The monkey bread was out of this world. It was so good that I sent my daughter back to counter to purchase all of the remaining monkey bread. We couldn’t head back to the city without them.

If you are in the Kingston Area or Hudson Valley in general, take a trip to this bakery. You won’t regret it. Did I mention that the service is as good as the food?

Oh and please do yourself a favor and ask for a slice of their passion fruit pie. You’ll thank me later.

This place makes everything so well! The breakfast sandwich is delicious! Great coffee. When they have a cinnamon roll don’t sleep on it. Yum.

Showed up thinking it was our first stop on a bakery tour around Kingston, but just ended up eating a ton at Pinkerton's. Two of my friends said it was the best Bacon, Egg, and Cheese they ever had and one went back for another the best day. We had Key Lime Pie, chocolate croissants, a cherry danish, and the jalapeno monkeybread, all great.

Wow! A friend and I stopped by on Friday morning to sample a bunch of Pinkerton’s offerings. We both got the excellent and savory breakfast sandwich made on their house made English muffins. So good, the eggs were fluffy, and I loved the addition of herbs. I also got to try the really interesting passion fruit curd and bay leaf custard meringue pie. Amazing! The flavor profile were different and interesting and perfectly balanced. Their pie crust might be the best pie crust I’ve ever tasted. It’s crispy and a little crumbly, and so delicious. We also got the quince, apple, and cheese danish, also yummy and high marks for the key lime pie as well. The only thing I wasn’t in love with was the croissant, which was not as soft as I would have liked on the inside but it was crispy on the outside. I can’t wait to go back!

This place seriously rules. Stopped by on our way back to Brooklyn and I wish it was closer to where we live. First off the staff are dope and friendly. They had many samples available and their passion for what they do is contagious. Second, everything we got was amazing. Get the jalapeño monkey bread which had some nice heat to it. You can taste every herb in the bread. Cheesy with the perfect amount of heat. Reminded me of the butter flake rolls from my childhood. Great lamination. Ham and cheese croissant, the flakey crunch of the croissant was amazing and the cheese really punches through and holds up the salty sweet of the ham. Don’t get me started on the Apple and quince cheese danish. The Apple and quince layer was perfectly tart and sweet, texture of the cheese was perfectly smooth and creamy and again the flakey bread was perfectly buttery and crunchy. The coconut chocolate croissant is unique and delicious. It’s a real choose your own adventure of flakey buttery, smooth chocolaty, and fresh toasty coconut. Designed in three stages and can be enjoyed in multiple ways. We also got the passion fruit meringue pie, which they had samples of. I’ll spare you my review and only say buy one. Buy two. If they have three get them all.

I have never had an item here that I didn’t think was the best I had ever had. The passionfruit meringue was of a quality I’ve only imagined from a restaurant, such as Per Se in New York City. No one should miss an opportunity to visit this magician every day of the week if they can. Thank you!!!!!

Everything I’ve tried (and it’s been a lot!- can’t help but treat myself when traveling) has been top notch. Standouts have included the jalapeño monkey bread, the passion fruit meringue, and the key lime pie, but truly everything has been astounding. The croissants- also so good!

THE BEST CROISSANTS I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Seriously just amazing! The veggie quiche is so flavorful and the crust is buttery and flaky! The croissants are huge and also buttery and flaky. The texture and taste are both matched for the best around! Even better then ones I’ve had at popular bakeries in NYC. This spot is a hidden gem! Don’t sleep on this place! Their hospitality is out of this world! They have great prices for their chai lattes as well! I’ve been coming every day on my lunch break for a large iced chai latte and they only charge me $5.50! It’s just amazing and Starbucks doesn’t have anything on this place and their chai lattes and pastries!!

Pinkerton’s bakery is amazing! You can tell Angela puts heart and soul into everything she makes. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Nate is awesome! My wife and I love this place. My son Matteo’s favorite place to visit. We are happy this bakery is part of the neighborhood. So many good things to say about this business.

As soon as I walked in, I was acknowledged. I was shown what everything is and was well taken care of. I picked out a few sweets on the way to my parents house and everything was delicious! Even my parents, who ate picky, liked everything.

This bakery is the real deal! Her croissants are perfect, crisp and flaky on the outside and soft buttery and and chewy on the inside. They are true French croissants, not the bready crescent rolls you get in most bakeries around here. The hand pie with apple and currant was perfectly balanced with a flaky exterior and a not too sweet fruity filling with a little touch of tart. I look forward to trying her new inventions and I'm kind of glad I live a half an hour away so I don't eat too many of them! We are so lucky to have pinkertons!
