We had been to a couple restaurants in Woodstock (Silvia’s) & a barbecue in Rhinebeck….this was by far the best & most affordable. Portions were ample, service great. We stayed near Rhinebeck & just stopped here before going on the riverboat cruise, mostly because it was close to boarding. Sangria was very tasty as was the liqueur latte after lunch. Highly recommend!!

Stopped for a glass of wine and a burrata caprese. Food was delish and the wine was spot on. Our server was playful and efficient.

Such a great place to grab a drink and some delicious food! They have a nice variety of gin drinks too, which is an unusual, but much appreciated bonus in Kingston. Highly recommend stopping by. We will definitely be returning soon.
We went back and had a delicious meal! Savona's does not disappoint!

This restaurant is perhaps one of my favorite in New York. Don’t miss this hidden gem! Our waiter Aiden was extremely accommodating and very knowledgeable about the local area(we were visiting from Long Island). The outdoor seating in this quaint downtown area was absolutely perfect on a late September afternoon right by the river. What started with breadsticks dipped in a basil glaze(complimentary) into our meals was pure bliss. The Veal Parmesan was one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while, along with a generous portion on the grilled chicken salad with a tasty creamy balsamic. Overall, this experience has been the highlight of our trip to Kingson/Saugerties area and I highly recommend Savona’s as a culinary experience you won’t forget. We will be back! We even brought our dog in his bag as he accompanied at the outdoor seating area. Thank you Aidan for the top notch experience!

Husband and I had a great experience here two years ago and chose to come back as a result. However, apart from the bread, the meal was far from great. The special (rib over pasta) tasted as if it may have come from a supermarket shelf or can, which was very disappointing. There was no depth to the flavor. The server that took our order - he was super attentive. But the one who brought our meals, she was very distracted so much so that I repeated my request twice, including as she was walking away from the table, and she still forgot. Next time I consider coming here, I’ll choose to eat at home.

We had a mixed experience on our return visit to Savona’s Kingston, but overall I’d say the place has taken a bit of a dive.
Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive, but my dining companions and I had a mixed bag of an experience, culinarily speaking. My sausage and broccoli rabe rigatoni was very average and the sauce extremely watery and tasteless. The pasta and the broccoli were perfectly cooked, however.
The zucchini blossoms were extremely greasy, small, & somewhat bitter. And plunked in a cold, overly sweet tomato sauce, which we wish had come on the side.
The lobster ravioli was very good. To be perfectly honest their fragrant and laden with pesto and garlic Italian rolls were the best part of the meal.
On our way out, I decided to be polite and tell the owner, or perhaps manager, that we enjoyed our experience. She barely acknowledged me, shrugged, and went back to what she was doing. This type of rudeness is absolutely inexcusable in the hospitality business and we definitely won’t be racing back. 🙄

This is a busy, noisy, popular restaurant. It is located in downtown Kingston with outdoor dining. Our meals were very good. The Seafood Risotto was ample with PEI mussels, grilled shrimp , and little neck clams. Our waiter (Jonathan) was outstanding. My only criticism is the noise level. Perhaps table linens would help. All in all, an excellent dining experience.

The food was fantastic! Our dinner consisted of antipasta, eggplant rollatini (excellent), and linguine with white clam sauce. The bread twists with dinner were very good but a little on the tough side.
The atmosphere is on the loud side. Not at full capacity during our time frame. The waiter was very loud with every customer. He wasn't as attentive as he should have been. Plates sat on the table that were finished through the entire meal. Pet peeve of mine.

Reservation for 530p. 6 of us stood in doorway for too long before someone sat us or even spoke to us. The servers looked like they were new. Service was slow, pathetic. Took forever to get drinks. Ordered fried green tomatoes. App. $14. I got four slices. Tomatoes. Is there a shortage? Rip off. Salad with dry salmon. The server wanted us out...us 6-60 somethings. [With only one round, mind you, since the first one took 30 minutes-so we werent too rowdy]. Kept asking if we needed boxes. We still were eating. Never going back. Not worth it. Go to Vincenzos on wall st.

Had a reservation. Arrived early and was kindly greeted. Unfortunately when we walked in the door we were hit by the smell of a musty porta john. We we're quickly seated, hoping the smell was just in the entry area. Unfortunately it wasn't. It was also to warm to be comfortable. So we left.

Lovely Store Front. Very nice atmosphere. Was Seated upon entering the Establishment. Nice size Lunch Crowd for a Tuesday. Ordered the Calamari. Did not Disappoint. Great Bread sticks. Next I ordered the Pear and Gorgonzola pizza with Ricotta and Panchetta and Drizzled with hot honey. First my Pizza was ice cold upon delivery. No Hot Honey Drizzle. My Lunch guests Pizza was also served cold! Then I discovered there was only one Waitress. The Manager and Bartender in the Front. She had a total of 11 tables. I will come back.
