Great place - wish they’d reopen - or give some indication on their website, on social media, or on their voicemail about whether they plan on reopening.

Ordered shrimp and grits that was so salty it was basically inedible. Honestly an actual dish of salt would have been marginally less salty...

Great looking spot. Would like to check it out post Covid. For now they did a good job with a makeshift outside area. Fun!

Our Local. Half a block up the street, with great burgers and a fantastic happy hour!

It was a dark and stormy night..... Ok, not really but looking at my photos one might think so. But alas, it was just a cozy summer night dining by candlelight with good friends, good drink and good food. I was given mixed reports on The Beverly; from rude/stuck-up staff to food being ho-hum. But my personal experience here was quite pleasing. The Bartender was very friendly and made me feel welcome while I waited for some friends to arrive. I ordered a Sazerac and it was perfectly prepared. The Beverly has a "dive bar" feel without being an actual dive bar. It's kinda like.... if a gastro pub and a dive bar had a baby. It definitely has a bit of a hipster vibe, so if you're a hater you are forewarned. Do - Order the chicken liver toast!!!!!!! Don't - Wait till the kitchen is almost closed to order the ancho chili brownie with salt & pepper ice cream :(

Ordered the burger medium rare with a side of onion rings. Burger came out well done. The fries that came with it were cold. And the onion rings we so over cooked they crumbled when touching them, music really loud in the bar . To the point that better to be in your phone than try to have a conversation. Menu was very eclectic and not really bar food.

I was mistreated, actually raged at "for being a baby boomer" by Drew, a nasty bartender with terrible manners. I arrived 15 minutes before they opened, on a rainy raw winter day, & D said I should wait outside, but nice owner Tripp said C'mon in out of the cold. As I was taking off my coat, D barked, Sit down! You're making me nervous! & Later told me I acted entitled to be let in before they officially opened. It was freezing outside, door was unlocked, I didn't ask for anything til 5pm. Drew literally yelled at me about being a BB & refused to allow me to defend myself. Don't think D likes women speaking up. Will never return, BOYCOTT BEVERLY LOUNGE!!

I've only been in the area for a year, but really enjoy The Beverly. The bartenders are very friendly and know their beers almost as well as we do in Portland. If you are a whiskey drinker the Old Fashioned and Sazerac are pretty good too.

I went for my first time and loved my experience. The place is comfortable, the food is amazing and the service was absolutely fantastic.

Probably the worst example of service in what is supposed to be a up and coming establishment I've witnessed in a long time. Given my frequent visits to establishments in the greater NYC area I may be squewed in my expectations for service, however after twenty five minutes of sitting at the bar, and being passed over for service by the staff attending to new comers, it left a bad taste in my mouth. The lackluster customer service, with an essentially none existing 'rush' speaks volumes. Hope your experience is a better one!
