My family stopped by for a late lunch prior to going on a sightseeing cruise on the Hudson. This spot is a bit off the beaten path of downtown and was a great find. Things were slow in the mid-afternoon and we were made to feel very welcome by the waitress/bartender. Been there for drinks quite a few times. Great crowd. Decided to go for dinner and try the food. Saw good reviews for the fish sandwich and decided to try it. My fish was cold and uncooked inside. Sent it back and it returned cooked but without the cheese. It was not busy. So no excuse. The bartender was apologetic but offered nothing for the inconvenience. The owner is a retired cop, a nice guy, and was hoping for more. Will go back but just to watch sports and drink.
