Beautiful view, great food, and amazing service from Maddie!
It was our first time here and we live right in Kingston! The restaurant was great, and Maddie really let us take our time and checked on us frequently. We will definitely be back!
Kind caring staff, amazing ambiance, delicious food! Cocktail I ordered was spot on. Had a red curry Thai shrimp dish that was very very good. We had our dog with us and she was treated kindly. We were fortunate to get a table right on the edge of the pavilion by the river - beautiful, breezy view. Highly recommend; we will definitely be back!
We drove there and there was no apparent parking. No signs. Nothing. We left.
My husband said his fish and chips were some of the best he has ever had. I ordered the burger cooked Medium, and it came out well done. Our server never came back to check on us, so I just dealt with it. She only came back once we were finished. It appeared that she was the only server for the entire restaurant, though I believe we were the second table to sit down, and there may have been 4 tables sat when we left. The level of service that was given to us today is not adequate for the clientele this place caters to. The setting is pretty, though the signage is terrible on property for telling you where to park or how to get to the restaurant. We honestly thought they were closed or we were in the wrong place. Hoping they iron out the kinks here, as the grounds are beautiful and the food was good.
One-Star Experience – Anniversary Dinner Disaster
I booked a table at River Pavilion at Hutton Brickyard a month in advance for my 18th wedding anniversary, excited for the romantic meal the website promised. When we arrived, the host informed us—without barely an apology—that the kitchen was only serving chicken wings that night. No entrées, no sides, no desserts, nothing resembling the seasonal, locally sourced menu we’d planned our celebration around.
What stings most is the complete lack of communication. A simple phone call or email would have given us time to adjust our plans, but instead we were left scrambling on a rainy evening in Kingston with no backup reservation and two very disappointed guests. An anniversary should feel special; instead, we walked out hungry and frustrated.
River Pavilion’s setting is beautiful, but that doesn’t excuse abandoning guests without notice or options. Until management shows basic courtesy—like alerting patrons to drastic menu changes—save your own special occasion for a restaurant that values it.
Beautiful meal, beautiful setting, great service! Thanks, Jill!
Location was beautiful! Scenery overlooking the Hudson River while you dine was 10/10 but that's all. Food was alright, not great, not bad, just okay, but for the price I expected more. Service was very slow considering there weren't a lot of people there when we died. Overall ok, I'd recommend at least going once but mainly for the view.
Nice atmosphere and view

We went for the festival and all the vendors we had a blast. Food was a little expensive. So many vendors to choose from. The weather was great. On the waterfront, great weather, it was a great day!
Great food and great views. The service from our waitress Jill was top notch. The Brickyard burger was very good, as well as the Lobster roll. Definitely recommended

The views are spectacular, sat in the lounge area which was really comfortable as well. The bartender Matthew made excellent drinks and gave great service. The food was amazing, definitely recommend the clams casino pizza with shrimp

This place is dope. Beautiful venue and decent prices
They need to improve the bar service. Our party of three order one mixed drink, a glass of wine and a liter of beer. The mixed drink came out first and after 15 minutes or more and two visits, one from the hostess and the other from the waitress the wine and beer finally came out. The beer order was wrong when it came, but the waitress fixed it at no charge. We really like this place, the staff is very nice, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. They just need to get a bartender who gives a crap about doing their job correctly.
This was my second visit to the river, Pavilion, and it was better than my first experience. The first time I went, I was impressed by the ambience and the views, but the food was mediocre. This time the food overall was much better I just ordered eggs, bacon, and grilled toast from the sides part of the menu and was very happy. My dining companions had burgers which they loved, and the other had avocado toast eggs Benedict which she declared was the best eggs Benedict she had had in a long time. Overall, on a beautiful Sunday morning, I couldn't imagine a nicer place to have a brunch.
You are paying out the nose for a view of the Hudson river. The same view you get for free from Kingston Point Beach. The food was delicious, especially the crab cake Benny, but over $20 for avocado toast. Wood fired pizza was good. The cocktails were meh. A Bellini with imperceptible peach and gunky raspberry purée stuck at the bottom. A dull Bloody Mary. Check your bill, they charged me for a hot coffee I never ordered. Service was what I would expect from a bad diner. Dirty plates stayed too long, waited for the bill too long. It was S L O W and waitress still couldn't keep up. Drinks were slow. Food was out fast though. I don't think I'll go back unless they really up their service and cocktail game to match the price point. At this cost everything should be impeccable.
