I came here later in the evening on a very rainy day. I had been looking forward to trying this 5 star place for some time.
I believe due to the weather, and arriving within the hour of closing; I found myself disappointed.
The food; although tasty, was cold and dry for the most part. Selection was pretty much tapped out, so I got a little of everything that they had.
I brought my daughter, and the owners were pleasant to us both.
Based on reviews; I imagine if I arrived earlier, I would have had a more delectable experience.
Parking: Arrived during a downpour and had no issues finding a parking spot near entrance.
Kid-friendliness: Owners were receptive and kind to my 5 year old rambunctious child.

Pretty good flavor and you have to get the extra gravy. I would say there was definitely more bone than meat and spice so that could be improved but overall a good meal

Absolutely delicious food! This is the best Jamaican food I've had. My boyfriend & I vacationed nearby for a week and came down to Kingston to eat here 2x!
We ate: jerk chicken platter, chicken curry platter, mac & cheese & beef patty.
Great people, great food, great vibe. Still making my way through the menu but everything hits - hard not to make a pitstop here whenever I'm runnin around or doing something in Kingston. I look forward to visiting Top Taste now every time we come back up this way.

Up in the Catskills for a wedding this weekend. Made a pit stop in Kingston for some bites. Came across TopTaste and glad I did. Went a little crazy and got curry goat, jerk chicken, beef patties, and oxtail.
If you’re driving upstate, make the stop. The building looks like a Caribbean beach restaurant and matching charm inside.
Staff is very friendly and biz is booming. Did not have a line when there but it was a consistent flow. Good sign if you ask me!
Vegetarian options: Breads, salads, and a few other sides like plantains and slaw.
Parking: A few street spots and an old lot across the street on the side
Kid-friendliness: Fun for the whole fam
Wheelchair accessibility: I believe you can roll right in

All of the reviews are right! This place is a delicious hidden gem that deserves to be celebrated. The owners are super sweet and friendly. The food? So so good. The plantains were my favorite. We will surely be back! Thank you TopTaste!

Ordered a large order of jerk chicken. Shared it with my wife. The rice was beyond as were the plantains. However the chicken was singularly the very best jerk chicken we have ever had. Crazy!!
