This is an iconic home grown establishment on the rail trail in the Adirondack region. It is the perfect spot to catch a breather and grab a bite if you're biking or running the rail trail. Food is good, service is with a smile and you feel at home the moment you walk in...
Very good food and reasonable prices. Love the throwback decor and quirky location & atmosphere.
Neat place.
If your parking and riding from the lot...can't ask for anything better. If your eating or staying...good luck lmao
Stopped for dinner while riding our sleds from Old Forge to Saranac Lake. Our meals were excellent, there were plenty of places to place our gear to dry out, and the owner helped us out with an issue with my clutch! Awesome place, love the history and the atmosphere.
Always great food and great service

Great place to start bike trail
Always great!
Good hot chicken wings!

When you're out riding the newly opened section of the Adirondack Rail Trail from Saranac Lake Village to Floodwood Outpost, plan to stop at Charlie's Inn for lunch on the return trip. Charlie's is a favorite stop for winter guests arriving by snowmobile, but will soon be recognized as the best place for lunch along the middle section of the ADK RT. They offer a wide range of beverages, including a full bar, and a menu that includes appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and dinner entrees. Charlie's offers great service, with fun atmosphere and quality food and drink. Bonus: the six miles back to Saranac are mostly downhill!
Of the beaten path oasis of good basic food.
Waited half an hour. Never even got water or an acknowledgement we weren't being served. Probably won't be back.
Very satisfied with the food great service
Great place to ski to from the Rail Trail
