The drinks are just the best you can get for a quick stop. 10 out of 10 I would go back again.Wheelchair accessibility: For the people who are handicap or need a wheelchair to get into the building there is a ramp in the front of the building, and on the side of the building there is a staircase”

Servers are friendly and helpful, atmosphere is great, and the coffee is self serve so you can make it to your liking. Overall a great experience, would highly recommend.”

“Great hotel located in the middle of Lake Saranac village. Room well appointed and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Bar and terrace is definitely worth spending time at - open mic night while I was there. Parking is free. There were also two Level 2 EV chargers on site.”

Anyways we came to the Rusty Nail where we were warmly greeted and had an absolutely amazing time. “Stopped in on a Monday evening. I read the great reviews and none are exaggerated. To start, a great atmosphere, very friendly staff and I assume the owner- manager working the tables that night. Now the service and food. Fantastic, fried mozzarella, a perfect French onion soup. Lasagna and a seafood special topped with marinara. I will definitely stop in again and I recommend to anyone who enjoys authentic Italian food! Oh, almost forgot the great Italian lemon cake,Thanks for a pleasant evening.Steve and Linda.”

I'm Muslim so it was hard to find halal food around lake placid.This was one place we found fish and chips and salmon with veggies.Thank you for having that on the menu please don't remove it.They were closed on Sunday so we checked a few places menu online, said it had fish and chips and when we got there it wasn't. We called somewhere and they said yes they serve fish and chips and when we arrive they said no. We just ended up getting pizza from the last place we called and visited ugh ?,”

“My family and I go to this restaurant every year when we visit from Canada. We are vegetarian, and have travelled to many countries and China Jade makes the most amazing vegan chicken dishes that we have ever had!!! The vegan General Tao Chicken and the Vegan Red Curry are both so delicious. This restaurant is such a gem and I cannot recommend it enough!Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian and vegan options to choose from!”

“Great pizza in the heart of SL. Love owls nest! Stop for two slices and a drink every chance I can . Only downside is they're closed on the weekend. Close Sunday and Monday so I can at least have Saturday!!”

My only complaint was that the server hands you a small device with the total of your bill and expects you to pay him on the spot. I like to look at my bill and decide on a tip, not while the server is standing there waiting. Hayden was a great server. Will come sgain.”

“Visiting the area we (4 of us) decided to have dinner at Casa del Sol. While looking over the menu, a small bowl of chips and two types of salsa (red and green) were brought out. While looking at the menu it started first bowl of chips and salsa was free and after that chips were $2 a bowl and salsa $2 a bowl. Okay - I appreciate the heads up, although I felt that was a bit stingy considering the size of the bowl you got. Anyway, we ordered our meals - fried chimichangs (delicious and plentiful), 3 hard shell tacos (while tasty - they did not come with any toppings like sour cream, gauc), enchiladas (delicious but a bit small portion), and a burrito (delicious and plentiful). We also ordered another bowl of chips for while we were waiting for our dinners. Our waitress brought our dinners and said "Oh man! I forgot your chips" and then hurried away to get them. At this point, we really didn't need them anymore as we had our meals. Okay, we took them any way - no big deal. Overall the food was delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and the prices were reasonable.”

“We enjoyed a delicious meal at the Boathouse. My husband had the Reuben with those delicious home made chips and a caesar salad. I had the margarita flatbread with a garden salad. Excellent. A nice glass of whispering angel and a blue moon topped it off perfectly. Waitress was very attentive. Prices were very reasonable.. lovely view as well. A perk of staying at the hotel is a 15 percent off coupon. Nice touch.”
