“My wife and I had dinner here this evening. The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. When we were waiting to be seated one waitress look like she was having a bad evening. She ended up being our waitress and when she came to the table she was Friendly and smiling. I can say Ashley is definitely a great waitress and very friendly.”

“I wanted to make sure to leave a review for an order we placed Oct 2025. My daughter got married at a gorgeous lodge in Jay, NY. This is about a 35-40 minute distance from Tail O the Pup. I had been in touch with the owner months ahead about a delivery to the lodge immediately following the ceremony that day to feed about 25 people. Communication was excellent. When the day came, I believe that the owner (I’m sorry it was a busy, emotional day and I did not get your name) lacked a delivery driver and drove the food to the lodge himself. Like I said, that would have taken him well over an hour round trip. The timing was perfect and as promised. The food was plentiful, very good, and enjoyed by all. He even threw in some extra coleslaw for free! We thank you for making our day stress-free and enjoyable!”

“My husband and I stopped by this sweet coffee shop for breakfast on our last day in Lake Placid. What a treat! Most excellent dark brew and breakfast sandwich. Scrambled eggs for $5? A bargain! “I was traveling for business in the area. My Brisket Sandwich was wonderful. Staff and owner were great. Place was clean. One suggestion season the Mac and Cheese, it just a little bland. I did not ask for extra sauce to season anything. But great place. Very tasty food and your outdoor smoking area is one of the best. Hope this place stays open and I will be back again.”

“Such a cute little bakery! An excellent variety of pastries and treats. Holy cow are the croissants tasty. They are sooo buttery, flakey, and perfect. We got the ham and cheese stuffed croissant, sausage, egg, and cheese stuffed croissant and also a chocolate croissant and they were all beyond amazing. It is a small shop with only 2 window stools up in the front, so definitely a grab and go spot. But most definitely worth a stop on your trip!”

She is obviously passionate about what she does. Home-y vibes and authentic crepes. A few specials every day on the board.”

3/20/26 so i needed two 4-packs for home... I got there at 8:01pm and the sign said 'closed' but the guys were in there and they asked what i needed and told them: 2 to go and they let me in and I promptly made my purchase and got on my way. Thanks much to the guys for helping me out. :)

“This may be our new favorite restaurant in town. The escargot and Onion Soup were great (get extra bread!). My Aunt had the bone-in pork chop special, it was giant. I had the duck, which was fantastic. Our waiter was prompt and not overbearing, allowing us the really enjoy this meal.”

“Just an absolutely wonderful place to visit when in Saranac Lake. First visited last summer and planned my visit around the weekly Partio on the Patio concert. I was last in on March 21 after a weekend of hiking in the High Peaks and planned this trip around the Festival of the Local music series. Just another absolutely incredible night. Be sure to visit. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Locals are great! No food, other than basic snacks. Cash only with ATM on site. I’ll be back over the summer!”

“Our party of six stopped in last night on our way back to Tupper Lake from Lake Placid. Our kids and their friends were especially hungry from a day on top of the mountain and they thoroughly enjoyed their pizzas and tacos. My wife and I enjoyed our Mojitos and Cure NEIPAs. Our fried chicken sandwich was perfectly flavored and the chips and queso were an amazing start. As co-owners of our own brewery, we were especially pleased with the level of service at each encounter (hostess, bartender, waiter, server, even the person who sold me my shirt). I also architect nerded out over the design of the place and the perfect use of the site. Being from NJ, I was pleasantly surprised at the somewhat urban scale /vibe to a place I never suspected to have one . We will definitely make this our stop every time we pass through. Five stars!”
