we loved our stay. The views were beautiful and so relaxing. The food was delicious, and we loved that you could order at the Cabana bar as well as in the restaurant. We were not disappointed with anything we ordered. Best risotto I've ever had. Our bartender was very attentive, friendly and made great drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting lakeside in the evening relaxing with drinks. All staff were friendly, very helpful and hard working. We truly appreciate their hard work, and it didn't go unnoticed. The beach was clean and so family friendly. We just enjoyed sitting in the chairs, which were in the water and observing the breathtaking views. We were walking distance to the wonderful Lake George village. Our room was comfortable, clean and great AC. The fire pits at night were a great addition. our stay was very relaxing and we had a great time.
The food and drinks were delicious by the Lake and waiter staff wonderful and the lake views amazing … loved our meals highly recommend to all even locals !
Strongly recommend this resort. All the amenities were open (even off season in early June) and their customer service was exceptional.
?? - Chef Ramsey please !! ?
Great food great experience..great buffet and love the view...the best
Ate here (Cabana Bar) while staying at The Georgian. Of all the restaurants we went to in Lake George, this one had the best food.
Excellent breakfast buffet. Dozens of options. Great food. Great staff. Special shout out to waiter G/Jerry who was amazing!!
FOOD WAS AMAZING. Only good thing :/ that’s the 2nd star - for the chef. Can’t recommend eating here. First, they advertise happy hour 4-6 and have additional signage for the restaurant. We got there at 4:30 and it was all locked. We eventually found another entrance and at least 7 employees who just ignored us. Eventually, someone who I think was a manager told us he just needed servers and we could be seated. Our drinks were prepared outside and a kid had to bring them in the pouring rain inside. This happened with several drink orders for customers… but some drinks were made at the inside bar. When he brought us our drinks that got rained in, the other servers laughed at him. They also made jokes about inappropriate things. At least 7 employees just sat there on their phones… picking at their noses and faces waiting for something to do.I feel bad because the chef killed it! Service was wicked awkward. Also, a woman went up to the bar and asked for something, when she walked away, the two female employees and the bartender rolled their eyes dramatically.None of them want to be there. Don’t recommend
One of the best Vodka sauces I've ever had
Either they can’t hear or they don’t care. Night #1: ordered room service; Beef ribs, mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. Received pork ribs and sweet potato fries.?Day #2: went to breakfast and ordered scrambled eggs, got fried eggs and “purple potatoes”? ?. Maybe it’s a Upstate New York thing?.Food wasn’t horrible, but sheesh! Think twice before eating here.
Restaurantji Recommends
I absolutely love it !!! Modest rooms for sure BUT the service from literally everyone was priceless! The view is priceless! Thinking about coming once a year! Highly recommend! And the food you order from the bar…it allllll good!
Great service. Nice breakfast buffet.
Giovanna's offers scrumptious dinners with hearty portions. There is a nice view of Lake George in the distance (beyond the pool and patios). There are several steps to get down to the restaurant and there is no elevator, so it may be difficult for those with mobility challenges. The staff is very attentive and appreciative of their customers. I had the salmon, which was tender, flaky, and a huge portion. It's a nice place for a quiet, relaxing dinner.
We happened to be staying at the Georgian Lakeside Resort where this restaurant is located. The hotel was dumpy and that should have been enough of a clue to steer clear of Giovanna’s, but it was our first morning and we didn’t feel like searching for a breakfast place. We should have. It’s enough to say that it’s just awful. And on one of the following mornings we witnessed a truck dropping off boxes of food supplies in front of the restaurant, leaving them on display in the parking lot , such as liquified egg product and other boxes of artificial food. There’s no excuse for not knowing how to cook breakfast, the simplest meal of the day.
Had. A good time
