The food was outstanding! Our server Shae was tentative and polite. He really made sure we got a memorable experience. To top everything off the Head Chef (John) came out to greet us and make sure the food was to our liking! Such a unique and exquisite change in pace compared to most dining experiences. I will be telling everyone I know how great this experience was. My son made quick friends with Marie as well. Overall, a great time and atmosphere.

The staff at restaurant were very friendly and extremely professional. The food was delicious. And the apple pie for dessert was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner.

Drifting about Lake George, then visit Fort William Henry Lakeside Restaurant, watching the NFC playoff, Bucs v Lions, a heaping bowl of homemade Chilli topped a dollop of sour cream, warms the soul. Main course of huge cut prime rib-medium, filled the plate, barely room for ever so light mashed & string beans. Along the way, slogged down several Kalua-black Java, yikes, too good to be true. Waitress, Makala truly seamless to every request and recommendation. Dessert of apple pie alamode with a drizzle of apple caramel and sprinkle of cinnamon on vanilla ice cream just launched a perfect dinner. Another Kalua-Java, and a spectacular evening night out. Winter Carnival February, will definitely return.

The Lakeside at Fort William Henry has something to offer everyone. There are two rooms that each have a different ambiance and the menu has a good variety to choose from. We sat in the lounge area and our server was very attentive, and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend going to the Lakeside Restaurant.

Unfortunately our worst meal in Lake George. The server was wonderful and the restaurant was very clean. But the food was unwelcoming and overcooked. We paid a good chunk of change for a meal thdt was very disappointing

Let's just put it this way compliments to the chef I had chicken marsala with mashed potatoes out of sight. The wedge salad was oh my Lord the best I've ever had my partner head trout and brussels sprouts. He said it was delicious we shared the wedge salad. It was huge.

I have been coming to Lake George my whole life and I never knew this restaurant was here. The food was great, we went for the view of the lake but the weather was rainy and foggy so we did not get the chance to see the lake. The waiter was great and the Butternut squash balls were awesome!

Everything was fabulous from start to finish! Adam wax our server and was very knowledgeable! There were 5 of us. We had orinsini, tuna, meatball, salmon, duck, trout, chicken parm, strip steak , lemon tart, chocolate cookies, apple pie, mixed berries. Such a nice evening. Enjoyed looking out at the lovely fire pit! We will definitely be back!!!I want to come back and try the crab cakes!

Shea was our server and he was great! Very attentive and knew the menu well. He had recommendations too. Unfortunately my partners duck came out overcooked, and my salmon came out dry. The veggies were good. The charcuterie board was bland, mozzarella cheese didn't have much flavor. The crab cakes were good. Dessert wasn't to die for. Mediocre meal at best. For the price, I'd go someplace else. Ambiance was very nice, it was a nice quiet meal for the two of us. I'd recommend it because the service was spectacular and just in case the food was just off that night.

An outstanding evening from the start. The Dueling Pianos performance was wonderful throughout the evening. The setting overlooks the lake. Apps and desserts were also great! Service was top shelf. A perfect way to start the new year.

The duelling pianos on new years eve at the newly renovated carriage house at fort William Henry was awesome and the fireworks at midnight were awesome. I would highly recommend this as a yearly tradition. The piano/musicians were just awesome, definitely see if you could get them for next year. Thank you Lake George just keeps on giving!!!! This is our 2nd time staying at the Fort William Henry Hotel. While we looked forward to our stay, it did not turn out as anticipated. We had a reservation at the restaurant for 8:00 pm on New Years Eve. It was explained to us that the kitchen was a little hectic as they are getting use to a new menu. My husband ordered the Roast Beef & Vermont Cheddar Panini which he expressed the roast beef was very fatty. I ordered the chicken Marsala without the mushrooms. The chicken tasted like it was soaked in vegetable oil. When the runner brought the dish over she was unable to identify what it was. Trying to be understanding that it was a holiday and very busy, I went ahead and ate the chicken because we were both very hungry and traveled 4 hours. Within a few hours of eating the chicken I became extremely ill. I had to go get medication and was very sick for the remainder of the stay in Lake George. I could barely eat any food for 3 days. Like the hotel but for the amount of money spent we couldn't enjoy ourselves and I don't think I would ever eat at the restaurant ever again.

We went to the New Year's Eve event at the Carriage House and had dinner at the Lakeside before the event. Both experiences were excellent. Dinner was delicious from the steak to the fish. The Savage Pianos event was fun and entertaining. Very high spirited evening. There was also a large amount if good finger foods at the Carriage House , from shrimp to pastries. And fireworks at midnight. Overall great way to ring in the new year.

We were seated next to door to outdoor deck. Half-way through our dinner in and out traffic and people keeping door open made our experience (and food) cold and annoying. Also other patrons' children running around like it was McDonald's Playland instead of upscale dining was quite frankly a real downer.
