Love stopping in to shop for the award winning Nettle Meadow cheese and then having a bite or full meal at The Hitching Post. The food is very good!, and, of course, incorporates their amazing cheese; the staff is so very warm and welcoming; I love the log building and it's history; and the fact that they not only welcome dogs but have a menu just for dogs makes this restaurant a home run for me!
We had a birthday gathering at Nettle Meadows recently. It was a lovely rustic place with good service and delicious cheeses that they make right there. The shop had lots of comfy food items such as honeys and jams and other interesting gifts.
I took a Cheesemaking class here through the Adirondack Folk School. The teacher was the head cheesemaker of Nettle Meadow. She was amazing- interesting , engaged, made the info accessible to us without being over our heads. They provided the most amazing charcuterie board for lunch. All of the cheeses were delicious.
