Solid spot excellent beer good food too

The food is fantastic at Big Slide. I also love the atmosphere. It feels like I'm eating and drinking at a boutique microbrew in the western mountains of CO. Their team always does a great job, and I recommend the experience to anyone visiting the village of Lake Placid!

Shout out to our server CJ who was super helpful. This place has a great vibe. The food was amazing, beyond bar food. After a long hike it's an awesome spot to unwind. They offer 5 drink flights. I had the send a roni pizza. Was fantastic. My wife got 'the steak'. 5/5. If you get the pretzel bites try the maple mustard, it's sooooo good. They nail it, ambiance, quality, service. Awesome brewery folks.

Parking: Yes you kinda park behind someone's house. The lot is huge

Stopped in for a flight and a snack, decent beer, drank at bar as no table available for an hour, busy time of year in the ADK!

Great little brewery, recommended by many friends! Stopped for lunch and were very satisfied, however was very very busy. We got lucky to grab a bar spot in front of the brewer (bar seats are free for all, tables were an hour wait during lunch). Would come again !

Visiting Big Slide Brewery & Public House in Lake Placid is a mix of great beer and patience-testing wait times. The tap beer is top-notch, offering a delightful variety. The food? Also fantastic. After three visits, I can confidently say the flavors don’t disappoint. My only but: the wait for a table and your meal feels like an endurance test. With empty tables visible on at least 2 occasions, it seems that they may not have the staff to run a restaurant that is as popular as it is.

The vibe is undeniably cool, though. There's a laid-back atmosphere, and you can grab a drink and take it outside, lounging in Adirondack chairs while you wait for your table. The staff was friendly & helpful. The dog-friendly deck, complete with water bowls for your furry friends, adds to the charm. Just be prepared for a less-than-perfect restroom experience—wet floors and a soap shortage were noticeable. Still, Big Slide offers a memorable stop for those willing to wait.
