Capisce Coffee & Espresso Bar

Capisce is our new favorite coffee place in Lake Placid. Check this place out. It has our favorite espresso coffee drinks: breves, lattes. The coffee is bold and smooth and the subtle notes of the beans are exactly what I love. The food is very good. And they have good sized seating areas both inside and especially nice one outside that has servers delivering your order to your table. The staff is friendly, helpful and informative. 2 things to note: First, it is a little bit out of downtown but well worth the trip since it is quiet and more spacious. Second: It can be very busy at certain times but that is the case with most of the good coffee bars in Lake Placid.

I love this place and come here regularly, mostly with my computer to work productivity in this cozy atmosphere. I also like to come here to catch up with friends. The European flair feels wonderful to me as a European ☺️ and the drinks taste delicious — they get my “non-sweet” taste buds, which is not usual for American coffee shops.

This is a wonderful coffee shop, always crowded, with wonderful espresso drinks, and great food.
About the espresso.
It has a smooth velvet mouth feel, slightly acidic, notes, no bitterness whatsoever, as good as it gets.
There is abundant parking, and both indoor and outdoor seating.

Best speciality coffee in Lake Placid area! Staff was a little unsure of the roast, but La Colombe is exceptional. Beautiful pottery for sale and reasonably priced. Scenic drive and a good coffee, heaven!!

First time visiting, we twice in 24 hours. The coffee and service we fantastic, made you feel like you were a regular every time. The quality of the drinks were outstanding as well. A must visit while avoiding the downtown.

The strawberries and cream matcha was easily the best matcha I've ever had. Atmosphere was really cute and staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend stopping here!
