This place is right out of the past. I love it. I have stayed here a couple times and the last 2 nights was one of them. Admittedly, it was a little chilly when we got to our room (somewhat late) and the place is a little dated but it is so clean and the people are so kind AND the restaurant is Amazing! The price point is unbeatable!Stay where you feel home❤️

Reservations are definitely recommended because they can get busy. The service was amazing, everyone is so nice. It's definitely more of a local spot but the food was great. I got chicken parm with was good, nothing crazy. But my husband got the chicken cascade and he said it was amazing!

My wife and I went there in the 70’s and 80’s. We did not stay there but we did go to the restaurant. It was highly recommended by Art Devlin. We sat at the bar for drinks before dinner and had many great conversations with Becky the bar tender, does anyone remember Becky? Food was excellent and the ambiance was perfect. Love Lake Placid!!!!Food & drinks: Drinks and food was delicious.

Used to be our go-to place but things have certainly changed. Hey steak was not tough, just tasteless. My veal schnitzel was so tough it wouldn’t cut with the steak knife. Fittingly, it was dried out and in the shape of the sole of a shoe. I only regret not taking a picture of this meal.

Food was excellent. Service was quick and pleasant. Prices are excellent compared to other Lake Placid restaurant. It’s not in the city center but we took a quick Uber to get there (12min).Don’t expect nothing fancy, just good food and a rustic decor.

We stayed With Colleen and family at the motel, the rooms are adequate, clean and all the amenities necessary. We ate at the restaurant and OMG, the food is fabulous, the service wonderful and the portions ample, we split one of the steak dinners. The steak fries are to write home about, so delish. Dinner was hot rolls, soup AND salad and entree. Dessert menu offered many great choices. So if you are looking for great food, high peaks and serenity, grab a glass of wine, an adirondeck chair and chill. We did!.

I'm continually impressed with Cascade Inn! We're always greeted with a warm welcome, and exceptional service and food. The price for what you get is astonishing for today's standards. You can not go wrong with The Fisherman's Platter. It's worth the trip to Lake Placid alone! I asked about other house favorites and was steered to the Shrimp and Scallop Tortellini. It was exactly what I was looking for in a tortellini dish. All around amazing. Please take the For Sale sign down

Great restaurant, cozy atmosphere. Saturday's is prime rib special! I didn't stay at the motel, so I'm not rating it.

This motel is a great place IF you read the description and know what you are getting. The place certainly is no-frills but is clean, warm, has cable TV and wifi. If you want the amenities of a larger chain motel - stay in one. Bring an electric kettle/coffee supplies and your own toiletries and enjoy the excellent location for XC skiing. No lobby but if you need to check in when the restaurant is not open (restaurant is great and open 5pm) they will make arrangments for you.
