Great cocktails. Limited selection of farm fresh classic and original eclectic presentations of beef, chicken, fish, pasta, Vegetable dishes. Generous portions/ mostly entrees portions. For example Fried Brussels Sprouts, Caesar Salad of Kale, Crispy Chicken Skins, Blackened Shishito Peppers Lemon Curd, Bucatini Sweet Sausage, Sundried Tomato Sauce, Burrata, and Coppa. Roasted Beets & Cauliflower with Walnuts, Sage, Creamy Chevre, Balsamic vinegar, Hush Puppies with Crab Aioli, Duck Breast with Maple Roasted Squash, Apple Butter, Roasted Monkfish with Onions, Peppers, Saffron, Crispy Polenta, Kale, Pesto Aioli, Strip Steak Au Poivre With Mushrooms and Onion Rings, Confit Chicken Leg Black Lentils, Broccolini, Gremolata, Roasted Trumpet Mushrooms with Marsala, Sage, Latke, and Sour Cream, French Onion Soup with Pastrami & Dutch Knuckle Cheese Bread One dessert - Maple Crème Brûlée All subject to change each day they are opened - only Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 5pm to 7pm I started with their house Negroni, made with Gins, Campari, Byrrh, Bitters, Vermouth. Perfect. I had a perfectly rare Strip Steak Au Poivre With Mushrooms and Onion Rings and large crispy bowl of Fried Brussels Sprouts along with Cabernet Sauvignon. Top it all off with Fernet Branca. The chicken confit, monkfish, roasted mushrooms, onion soup, served around me looked wonderful and were thoroughly savored. Delightful.

Lovely. Just lovely. I truly never ordered a cocktail (and enjoyed it anyway) before coming here. The food is downright inspired, and the service is superlative. A true gift to Lake Placid and a darn shame they won't be around in 2022.

We loved the food. all the staff was so kind. Food was amazing. Definitely options for vegan or gluten free people! 10000000000/10 would recommend!!!

A great place for food and drinks that are full of thought, passion, skill, and complex flavors. L&S stands out as a place that delivers. It would fit in just fine in a major city, but thankfully it's here in the Adirondacks stuffing our bellies and wetting our whistles. Love this place. Feels great inside and has an excellent staff providing great service. The beer list and cocktails stand out on their own, but best of all they're not what you're going to find at every other place around here. One of my top spots around these parts.

This place is awesome, our favorite in Lake Placid. Cocktails and food are unique and perfectly executed; excited to return on our next visit.

Drinks were delightful, staff were friendly, and they were very accommodating with a large takeout order. Atmosphere is a bit haphazard, but it's charming in its own way.

The food was fine but they had a limited beer and liquor selection. I would recommend sitting outside.The service was good and the place was cute!

This is one of my a favorite if not favorite places to eat . Every time I walk into their establishment I know I’m going to have an amazing experience.My partner and I went during these tough times for any small business and we kept an open mind . What we were met with was nothing less then extraordinary. We somehow got lucky to have a private seating and the service and food was unbelievably amazing . I was blown away by every aspect of their service and how they were able to still be awesome even under the circumstances. Keagan ( sorry if misspelled) , the chef and kitchen crew exceeded what I thought could be accomplished in these tough times . I give them a 10/10 great place excellent food and drinks awesome crew ?.

Excellent meal, a little cold in the bar area but we were warned. Next time will request seating near the stove. Bone marrow appetizer was a hit!

My boyfriend and I were visiting lake placid and this place came highly recommended. We were not disappointed. The menu rotates, so if you like a surprise menu this place is great. We had a perfectly cooked steak, chicken dish and two appetizers that blew us away. We will be back for both the food and service.

I’ve been going to L and S for years. They have the best beer list and drinks in town and their food is second to none. There is always a great selection of 5 or so draft beers and a few hundred more it seems bottled or canned. And they are all from a unique or small brewer. The mixed drinks are also interesting and different. And always good. Food is fantastic. Offering big and small plates there is something for most tastes. The kitchen takes full advantage of the area and builds from it. There is always something new to try and usually some old favorites as well. During Covid it is obvious the attention put forth to be sure the facilities are super clean and rules and regs are followed. They never disappoint.

Excellent food, drinks and service. Not expensive. Best meal I had in Lake Placid area.

Creative and super delicious! We sat outside among the beautiful greenery. We loved that this is tucked away from the hustle of downtown but it’s close enough to walk to if you are staying downtown.
