Origin Coffee Co. (Lake Placid, NY)

Stopped by for breakfast and coffee, we ate inside and spent about half an hour there. The service was friendly and the coffee and food came out quickly. The music and vibe were super cozy and welcoming! The coffee's were excellent and the breakfast burritos were soo good. The salsa that came with the burritos was amazing! Would definitely come again!

The latte here is delicious. The breakfast burrito is okay—could use a little more flavor. Come early if you can to beat the crowds-they move fast and are really attentive. There’s countertop and bar seating, so probably not great for large groups.
Their breakfast burrito and avocado toast are the most popular items.
If you can’t find street parking, there’s public parking just across from the Post office, only a short walk to the coffee shop.

It's busy enough that they could expand to a bigger place - that alone says great place to go. The Breakfast Burrito and Avocado Toast are excellent as well as their coffee.

It is first come first serve on the seating.

Also, if you would like to order their coffee beans they do have a website. They roast to order, so always fresh!

great coffee from around the world!

Great coffee shop, situated right by the Olympic Center. More than your average drink and food selection- specialty “Sweater Weather Latte” was a particular favorite. Not a ton of seating, but not too bad (about 12).

This coffee shop has quickly become one of my favorite places in town. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with an inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer than planned.

The space is cozy, beautifully designed, and always welcoming, perfect for working, relaxing, or meeting up with a friend. The coffee itself is outstanding. I am not an avid coffee drinker, but the barista recommended me their Sweater Weather Latte and it was DELICIOUS.

I came in when it was crazy busy but watching the baristas work in line you could see that all the drinks are consistently smooth, balanced, and clearly made with care. Their espresso is rich and flavorful, and the specialty drinks are creative without being overdone. They definitely pay attention to the details in their work and it shows.

The whole staff deserves a shoutout too. They’re friendly, patient, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. Whether it’s a quick recommendation or a small conversation while waiting for your drink, they make the experience feel personal in the best way. Even when it's really busy and the line is out the door, everyone is super friendly and kind.

Overall, this shop is exactly what a local coffee spot should be, great drinks, great people, and a welcoming vibe that keeps you coming back. If you’re nearby, definitely stop in. It’s one of those rare places that truly gets everything right.

had a really, really lovely matcha latte here - the color was a bright pale green with no yellowing or browning from oxidation, and i watched them make it in front of me so there was nothing added to make it that color, just fresh high-quality matcha powder in the oatmilk. best of all, it was not too sweet so i could taste all the nuances of the tea's flavor! indulgent yet subtle and would absolutely order again.

they were absolutely SLAMMED due to a skating event bringing a ton of people into town, but handled everything really well. the staff still took the time to have perfectly textured milk and beautifully poured lattes. the food was great and they handled the demand impressively. i wish i could’ve tried one of their pour overs, but i didn’t want to disrupt their flow! instead, i had the candied squash (?) cappuccino, which had a unique and delicate flavor. i loved it and wish i could have it all the time! i 100% recommend and plan on going back any chance i get
