Great food, great host, we ve got the peruvian first one recommended and was excellent! With kids or without, this place was a perfect choice! Host offered for our group with kids, games and house sauces. Also, place is clean and welcoming. I highly recommend it!

Friendly sports bar with EXCELLENT Peruvian entries as well as traditional pub fare. Our party had the Arroz Chaufa and the Tallarin Salgado. Both were delicious. Another person had the beef nachos- very generous portions with meat all the way to the last bite. Great service with a very welcoming staff. We were also offered a house specialty dipping sauce which was flavorful and spicy.

My family had a wonderful dinner at Sol de oro. The food was amazing. I had the lamb stew and it was the most tender and flavorful lamb I've ever had. My husband and daughter both loved their meals too. The service was great; our drinks were never empty and our food was hot. It felt like having a lovingly prepared meal made by a mom who knew what she was doing. We will definitely be coming back to Sol de oro whenever we get a chance!

Amazing experience at this restaurant. Peruvian food was excellent, variety of cocktails and beers was top, and service A1. Will definitely come again. Make sure you try the piscos they offer!

Overpriced, poor quality, service, and environment.

Sol de Oro was the find of the weekend in Lake Placid. We were there for that PanAm tournament and went in for a drink only to discover a lovely Peruvian family serving delicious authentic Peruvian food and drinks. The Ceviche and Empanadas and Flautas were great with some Peruvian beer. Service was really nice. We went twice over the weekend. Enjoy!!

Kid-friendliness: Basically a Peruvian restaurant disguised as a sports themed restaurant/bar. My sense is that everyone is welcome.

We stopped in for lunch, after reading that this restaurant had Peruvian food. At first we were disappointed that the lunch specials had no Peruvian options, and we didn't want a full dinner, but they were very accommodating . We split two dinners for four people and sampled some delicious Peruvian staples. Wonderful flavors, and they even customized our choices for us. Very friendly and a fun place to go. Great service.
