An amazing evening! If you are visiting Lake Placid or live in the area, this is a not to be missed experience. Almost everyone has been invited to a "Sip & Paint" party/torture where you sign up to paint a ridiculous picture of a drunk Santa Claus or snowman... a painting that you will most likely end up hiding in the back of your closet because where else would you display it.This is different! The owner of this business, Ismael, is an incredible artist... he is modest and did not come out and say it, but I would guess that he has more than a few galleries begging for his work. Instead of the usual "Sip & Paint" subjects, Ismael has created gorgeous ADK landscapes for his guests to paint. Ismael's patient instructions and guidance will leave you amazed at your own inner talent - and you will actually create a piece of art worth displaying in your home.The atmosphere is wonderful and relaxing. If a member of your group is too shy to join the action, there is a lovely sitting area with a fireplace and a terrific bar with loads of beverage choices that will allow them to still be a part of the fun.We did not have the opportunity to test the food menu but I guarantee that when we return with our entire family we will be eating, drinking a beer and painting the beautiful ADK scenes.Thank you for a fantastic evening!!

Ish is an incredible teacher! We enjoyed a wonderful evening of conversation, laughter and painting and finished the evening with a piece I actually want to hang in my walls.I will definitely do this again when I return to Lake Placid.

We had the absolute best time at the Peaks Paintbar on Saturday March 16th. It was my daughters and I first time at a paint and sip (ages 13) and they had the best time ever. Ismael was the ultimate guide for our painting journey teaching us not only painting skills but life lessons along the way. Jokes were told and the smiles and laughter were endless. We can't wait to go back to the Peaks Paintbar for our next sessions. Cheers to a wonderful addition to downtown Lake Placid.

We had such a fun night and Ish made everyone feel so welcome and explained everything so we could all feel like artists. He even created a painting especially for us since we booked a large group in advance for a birthday. I can’t wait for my next painting.
This was an experience! The owner Ish is incredibly knowledgeable about the world and is an interesting person! He has a wealth of knowledge! He’s been a teacher and has 4 daughters! He is compassionate, hard working, kind and incredibly determined and dedicated to his family and life work! I highly recommend stepping inside the studio to learn from a wise, kind hearted and humble artist who is passionate about the world and his family. Do yourself a favor and take a paint and sip class!
