I made a short visit to Lake Placid and (thanks to Google Maps) found The View, a cozy and elegant restaurant inside the lakefront Mirror Lake Inn, with views over Mirror Lake. Jesse S was our server, and his calm, peaceful and friendly attitude was a great complement to the spectacular dishes my daughter and I enjoyed. Unusually sophisticated for a small tourist town, the food was as good as any 5-star restaurant in a big city, and the service was perhaps better. Highest recommendation.
Lovely location but if you want to see the lake go before dark. The food and service were top notch. And they made it extra special by taking our picture and printing it as a little take away. Definitely recommend
Went for breakfast a couple of months ago during our stay and returned again this week when back in town. The last visit was even better thanks to the service from Nigel, who truly made our day!
