The service was exceptional and the food very good. The lobster tonnatelli was very good as was the lobster toast. Lobster bisque was very good as was the bucatini dish. The bartender didn't make a very good martini. Overall the dinner was excellent. The views of Mirror Lake were beautiful.
My wife's and I stayed at The Mirror Lake Hotel for our 45th Wedding Anniversary and booked The View for our anniversary dinner. The staff was amazing: professional, kind, knowledgeable and FUN! The service was probably the finest I've ever experienced. The food was AMAZING. The Lobster and Mushroom Toast as an appetizer was unique and DELICIOUS. The steak was PERFECT. The ambience is beautiful. What can I say. It is the finest restaurant in New York State.
The chicken karrage was a wonderful appetizer, full of flavor, I would have enjoyed this as a meal. You also can never go wrong with shrimp cocktail. The entrees were okay. My husband found his gnocchi to have too much broth and far too much cracked black pepper the balance was off. The risotto chevre was good, the lemon was a bit too much, and the peas were perfect with a nice snap. For dessert we enjoyed the lemon buying and vanilla creme brulee, both were the cherry on top....
