It was extremely busy there. Took a while for the waitress to acknowledge we were there. Our waiter/bartender, Mike was excellent! Very attentive, friendly. The food was fantastic! ?

Stopped in for lunch.today, they had a group of people in the dining room so we sat at the bar to eat. Mike took care of us, he went above & beyond. Made sure we had everything we wanted. Food was excellent ,
because of him we will be back. Thank you Mike for such outstanding service !!

We were in the area for a few days and stopped in for dinner. Gorgeous view, and inside is a quintessential local bar and place where you get the sense everyone knows each other and has forever. Wood-paneling and couches, huge assortment of random local things on the wall.
Food was good. We got a white pizza with broccoli, garlic, and ricotta, which was an average and fine pizza. We also got the hot roast beef on top of poutine, which was as delicious and greasy as you’d expect. The garlic parm fries are ridiculously good and drenched in garlic. Like an 11/10 on the garlic score.
Service was a mix of local friendly and “couldn’t care less,” which was charming in its own way. The table behind us was also apparently new to the area, and asked the waitress if they had a signature cocktail. We were dying to hear what the answer would be, and it was amazing…just a deadpan, ”Just tell me what you want and we’ll make it.”
Prices are very fair, especially with so few places around and a vacation spot. If you want to save a few bucks, pay in cash.
If you’re in the area and want a decent dinner and drink, it’s a solid stop.

We were on vacation in the area and all week long we looked forward to coming to the Oxbow Inn. We planned it for the next to last day of our vacation. Despite claiming to be open 11-9, when we arrived at 5pm we saw a sign saying "dining room closed at 5:30." Judging by the looks we were getting, the serving staff was not thrilled to see us. We almost left, but unfortunately decided to stay. The first thing I'll say is that our server took our order and we never saw her again till it was time for the check. The second thing related to the food. My wife's chicken sandwich was super thin, but worse yet, the ranch dressing she asked for was the exact viscosity of water. A real chef working there I see. The last thing I'll mention is that they have a lovely patio with a view of the lake, but don't ask to sit there. They do not serve there. I worked and owned restaurants for many years, so I understand some things, but the things I mentioned here were inexcusable. I saw that this was very highly rated. I hate to think this is the best the area has to offer, but Apparently it is because 4.6 would be almost a guaranteed great experience where I'm from.
To the owner - laughable that you think you had to tell me to try somewhere else. Your response is about what I expected. And you don't have to be a real chef to know that ranch dressing and water should have different consistency. I'm glad you take good care of locals. They are important to your business, no doubt. God luck.

Food was good, as was the service. Fun atmosphere. The front feels like a neighborhood dive bar. The back is a more traditional restaurant with great views of the lake. Good time for sure!

Two waitresses were a bit on the rude side. When I was in food service we did what we could to accommodate customers not give them a hard time and just say no I can't do that extra. It's not difficult to have a six table and four table put together. I understand 10 orders may not be able to go in at once but they could have simply split the orders and sent 5 in then the other 5. Also when asked to do separate checks we were told no we can't do that. Seriously then do one check and ring them up separately at the register.
