The Lakewood Rod& Gun Club got members and their guests only. It is a beautiful, sprawling log structure made from imported Scandanavian wood. The structure is located directly on the shore of Chautauqua Lake. We try to eat here a few times a year. You have to be a member. The food is good and the staff is friendly. It's a great place to go to by boat. It's family friendly, has a really nice playground for the kids to play at before you eat. If you go there on a Friday or Saturday, make sure you have time for the wait. Sometimes it can be quite long.
Our family has been going here for years and we love it every time. Great service great food. My mother loves the fish fry with coleslaw. Oh and the chicken fingers are exquisite !!!
