I ordered a bowl through the Fruit Loop app and explicitly selected no walnuts and indicated that my allergy is anaphylactic, which the app required me to answer before checkout. Despite this, the app still allowed me to complete the order and charged me $15 in taxes and delivery fees.
Only after payment was processed did the restaurant call to tell me they would not make the order due to my allergy.
I understand that some places cannot safely accommodate severe allergies… that is not the issue. The issue is that if selecting an anaphylactic allergy makes the order ineligible, this should be made very clear before checkout, or the app should block the order entirely. Taking someone’s money and canceling afterward is unacceptable and frustrating from a user experience standpoint.
I selected five stars because I still enjoy their food and would not wish harm on the reputation of their business. However, I believe constructive criticism and awareness are imperative, as this situation caused significant inconvenience.

I had to get takeout since I was on my way to the airport, but I wish I could’ve stayed the atmosphere was fresh and clean and inviting, and I would’ve loved to stay and enjoy it. I got the loaded avo toast with feta cheese, tomatoes, and red chili. Delicious.

So cute inside! Stopped in on our way back to Boston from Cooperstown. We did have someone with an airborne nut allergy with us, and they had helpful signs posting that this is not a nut free environment. We grabbed coffee and went somewhere else so we could all eat together! (Coffee was fantastic!!)

The food and smoothies are so good but I’ve tried to eat here twice and I’ve gotten really sick both times

Pretty disappointing. Tried a cinnaroll latte and berry oatmeal. The latte was terrible 'cause whatever syrups they use don't actually mix into coffee well at all. Oatmeal was very mushy and seemed to not be that fresh, but anyway, I like to focus on the positives. Atmosphere was cool with the leaves/lights hanging overhead and staff was very friendly. I wouldn't return though.
Not sure atmosphere can compensate for waiting so long. I get why they prioritize decor, friendly staff, and good music, cuz you’re gonna spend at least 30 minutes waiting for whatever you order. Granola in bowls is totally Nature Valley granola lol someone else posted. Just go to Bare Blends, cheaper and better quality bowls. Oh, last, reading the responses to bad reviews from Fruit Loop is very entertaining if you get bored waiting for your food.
