Mercato's Italian grill and Restaurant

This evening (October 25th), my wife, son, and I decided to try a new place. We came in around 5:15 or so, were seated promptly in a booth by the bar, and given menus and bread. So far so good, right? Well, in a twist worthy of M. Night Shyamalan, we turned totally invisible. I know what you must be thinking, but it's the only explanation for how the waitress at the next booth, the busboy who made multiple laps past ours, *and* the bartender behind the bar eight feet away failed to acknowledge our existence in any shape or form. After sitting with our bread for twenty or so minutes without so much as a brief moment of eye contact (let alone taking our drink order), we finally decided to go to an establishment that didn't have a booth-sized Bermuda Triangle and left around 5:47. Our invisibility field must have lifted as we were leaving, because in a surreal little twist, the aforementioned waitress said "Have a good night" as we left, and I still can't decide if that's high comedy or cruel mockery. Perhaps both? Five stars for attempting a restaurant version of "Waiting for Godot". Zero stars for everything else. Real talk: I honest to God didn't think that I'd ever need to rate a restaurant on the basis of "do they acknowledge your existence", but here we are. Go literally anywhere else. Sheesh.

Steak was tender and melted in your mouth. The seafood was cooked perfectly. Chocolate cake was great to share with someone special. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Prices were average for Great food. Will come again.

Did not receive what i ordered. Realized when I had already gotten home. Waste of money and time.

Had to ask our server for water after we had ordered drinks, our salads didn’t come till after we got our main entree. Server checked in to ask if our food was okay but never asked if we wanted another cocktail. Good food…. Poor service

Mercato's food is absolutely amazing!! I absolutely love the linguine with red clam sauce it's my favorite.

I just had the worst meal ever. 3 Veal parms (talk about expensive) and they all taste like they have a gallon of salt! There is so much oil in the packages you know the oil wasn't hot enough. This place has gotten so terrible and you can tell they dont care anymore. Had to remove old post because of how poor the food is. Their pizza is now just mediocre, and wings are soggy. Never again

The entrance is a bit deceiving (mall neon look).. the interior was nice. Wait staff was pleasant and attentive. The menu seemed decent until ordering. Seems it hasn't been updated. Items were not available on a Friday evening? Do not suggest carne. Lots of open tables.

My niece needed to use the bathroom and was doing the toddler bathroom dance. They decided to refuse her until a drink was purchased. We will not support as a result.

Food and service were amazing. We ended up having dinner at the bar and Gary is the best! Very attentive and had a great time. I had the Mushroom and Goat Cheese Cappellette and it was the best pasta dish I’ve ever had! The flavor of the pasta and the broth were perfect. Hubby had the Black Pepper Fettuccine and he loved it. We also had the Clams Casino and Meat/Cheese Platter as an appetizer. We really enjoyed the clams and the platter. The quality of the meats melted in your mouth and so tasty. The goat cheese was my favorite cheese. We also had a cappuccino and Affogato with the cherry dessert. Left there so full and happy! No leftovers. We will definitely be back soon!

We had their steak gorgonzola, linguine with white clam sauce, and linguini with a scallops in a red sauce. They were all excellent

A good place to hang with friends. I found the lasagna portion small compared to what you get at local diners. It's probably just as well, some of us eat more than we should. Maybe the portions are bigger at dinner time. I was there for lunch.
