Hard to believe NYC is famous for its pizza when a place like Roman exists upstate. I love the city, love a good number of slices I can get there, believe me, and I'm the pickiest eater you'll ever meet. But this place is a whole other world. I've been a patron of Roman for a number of years. This is consistently our goto pizza/sub spot. I'm not quite sure if they truly remember me each time, but the owner gives that look of familiarity and is always super friendly to my family. My wife rates their fries as the best in the area. I was impressed with the cleanliness and friendly atmosphere of this pizza place. My Saturday afternoon visit was very enjoyable. The service was prompt, and the subs I ordered were outstanding. The meat and bread were of high quality. Though the prices are slightly above average, the excellent food and service made it a worthwhile experience.
