today i was pretty much scammed . I ordered lamb biryani . there was nothing there . 5 tiny pieces of meat and little rice that has absolutely No taste . I have been a customer for years bu im Not going to order anything from this place again .

Forgot to take a photo but. The garlic naan bread option and a jalapeno one were delicious. I had some lamb, wife had a beef a few had tiki. Our friends go a lot to this place, we finally went and you should treat yourself as well. Next time I need to hit the Buffett and try the other menu options
I placed an online order and they charged me twice for it. Tried arguing through my bank but they supposedly could prove I ordered the same exact order within a minute. Will never give them my business again

BEST RESTURANT IN THE CAPITAL REGION!! We were 9 people (2 of which were from Toronto, Canada) in total. All of us agreed that this is the #1 restaurant in Albany. The food was nicely presented and fresh out of the oven. The staff were very kind. Our favorite is definitely recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala. 10/10

First impression was a very outdated, decor, as you enter but I thought since google reviews say 4.1 star rating maybe the food will taste better. However i now am convinced that the reviews are fake. It is NOT authentic Pakistani taste as they claim. We went for the Sunday lunch buffet. Not a single item was even close to palatable. We ended up leaving without eating and when I complained to the manager he said you will still have to pay and gave us a pathetic 10$ guft certificate for a Next time. That next time is never happening. So they know it will not be used anyway. Instead of giving me a discount on the total bill 33$ that I asked for. I asked to speak to the owner he didnt let me and just said call at this restaurant same time tomorrow. The drinks they offer with the buffet are also diluted and given in a paper cup. Very petty, even a roadside food truck has better service.. Chicken biryani hardly had a few chunks of chicken in it. Overall highly disappointing food that didnt even taste like it was freshly cooked.
The food was just basically chicken and curry mixed together with vegetables, the atmosphere was horrible, they really need to clean their Restaurant because it was filthy nasty! i dont recommend going here!

I don't know why every time I got food from them it's not that good and each time we eat there our stomach has gotten upset the cause are super watery and the flavor is almost dull and when u ask for spicey like the Desi style it's jalapeño added to burn ur behind
The lunch buffet is great. I've been to most of the Capital District's Pak/Indian restaurants. Many Americanize their dishes by not using enough spices. Shalimar is authentic using just the right amount of spices. Even the traditional naan red onion topping was very unique compared to others who obviously use the basic jar version. Service was very attentive. And, by the way, drinks are included in the buffet price! I highly recommend this restaurant!
