Stopped here on a road trip and we are now absolutely heartbroken it’s so far away. Our server Steve was amazing, the food was delicious, and it was just so cozy inside. We will definitely be back to try the prime rib when we’re in the area next.
We had an excellent steak dinner. Everything was good. The server was professional and helpful. The atmosphere is like an early American Pub: cozy and well-maintained. There is an excellent selection of drinks. We weren't rushed even though we arrived near closing time. The meal was well worth the price.

We ordered a lobster roll with fries, lobster chowder, and a house salad with grilled chicken. The food was pretty good. The lobster roll and fries were great. The lobster chowder had a bitter aftertaste I couldn't really identify, and the salad was okay. The place is really cute and would be great for date night! They also have daily specials which sounded interesting/good. The service was alright. Our glasses went empty a couple of times, but overall not bad. Would definitely go again to try more of the food.

Our waiter was terrible . He messed up our drink order 3 xs. He did not explain extra charges for sauces & brand name vodka. The food was good but I feel ripped off because of the extra charges. Not ok

We have always enjoyed dining at The Century House. However my meal this evening was disappointing. Both the lobster chowder and clam chowder were exceptional. My wife truly enjoyed her salmon dinner. Sadly, my prime rib was not up to Century House standards: it was gristly and not prepared as I had requested. Since we have had many successes in the past, this may have just been an off night. We will return.

Im my opinion Century House has ther finest prime rib in the Capital Region bar none. I like the ambiance there. You can see and feel the history of the place. One thing I didn't like: I've been there many times before and literally every time I go, the mashed potatoes are served at room temperature. I like mine hot, so I specifically asked that they be heated for me which they did not do. My server asked me if they were hot and I told her they were because I did not/do not want a scene, but that's why they get 4 stars today not 5.
We made reservations to celebrate my moms 75th birthday- we dropped off a cake & balloons earlier in the day to have at the table when we arrived as a surprise- that did not happen...when we finally sat down, it took 20min for a server to greet us - the hostess took our drink order... then the server finally came over to confirm the drink order and it was wrong- it took an hour & a half to have our entrees delivered- we had to as the manager and server a few times about our food- The meal took 3 hours from start to finish- and the entrees were not good- we ordered the special and the risotto was not cooked and not seasoned - Overall- very disappointing considering the planning we out into this -

Once again excellent meal with great service. We sat in a smaller dining room with a fireplace for Valentine's Day. It was cozy and inviting. The food was excellent as usual. Our server was Penny and she was very friendly and took great care of us. The Century House is such a gem here in Latham!!!
