I have been coming here for years to get my pies and jam. They have the best baked goods around. I really would love love love their bread and pies. But honestly, they do have some exceptional jams and jellies as well and some cheese occasionally I like to grab when I stop by. Bought Manhattan clam chowder and New England Clam Chowder. Manhattan was outstanding. Well worth the money. New England was awful. Bland, filled with potatoes, if there was a clam in it I couldn’t find it. I threw out the whole bowl. Stick to Manhattan.
Let me start by saying the soups are very, very good. The shrimp and corn chowder is my favorite, but the lobster bisque and both style clam chowder are all outstanding.
The deserts are great, the cakes and pies and donuts are all really good but the chocolate eclair might be the best you ever had.
They have all sorts of jelly, jam, and butters. The jalapeños jam is great. The pickles are great.
