Slowest service ever.

Ridiculously expensive for the amount of food, and they charged us $10 for extra tortillas.

We ordered the $100 per person set menu (pre drinks, pre tip, pre tax) because we had a big group.

I’m 110 pounds and left starving after those prices…We tried to order more but because they were so slow the kitchen had closed.

We went to a drive thru afterwards to fill up.

Portions are very small and overpriced. One tamale is 16$. Highway robbery.

After living in the Hudson Valley for two years a methodically trying all the well regarded chefs Casa Susanna was our favorite. the server was knowledgeable and helpful without seeming snobby. The tastes - including many ingredients I had heard of but never tasted was a thrill. Every dish scored and the desserts were light and sublime

Decor is cool. Dinner menu felt hugely overpriced and overly spiced. We all felt the flavors were a near miss. And $10 for 6 basic corn tortillas is a joke for serving 4 people. Also, we waited over an hour to get our entrees. Mackerel was just ok. The guava sorbet dessert was sort of good, sort of disgusting with the sweet/salty flavors colliding. The waiter was nice but service was slow and not attentive. Thinking maybe they are understaffed. They did comp our desserts because service was so slow. This is the kind of hipster place that seems intriguing, but scratch the surface and it’s mediocre and even tremendously disappointing for the price. Can’t recommend it. Just because it’s Upstate + hipster doesn’t mean it’s necessarily good.

Best food in NY outside of the five boroughs. Thank you for bringing something other than pork chops and applesauce to the Hudson valley
