This was the most disturbing dining experience I've ever had. The cook was screaming at the two waitresses for the duration of our lunch. He was angry about the "mistakes" he insisted they'd made, and proceeded to berate them over and over. Even if they had made mistakes, perhaps it was due to the toxic environment of disrespect they experience at work. My mother and I were sitting at a booth near the pass through window from the kitchen and couldn't hear each other talk due to the volume of this man's yelling. I feel bad for these other employees, especially as it became clear that one was his daughter and the other, his wife. If he is like this in public, one can only imagine what he's like at home. If he's worried about displeasing customers, perhaps he should start by checking himself. He's the one who made for a horrible experience, not them.

We ordered the burger drink frie and cookie special. The sever with a terrible attitude brought us a patty dry buns and fries. She got angry when I requested mayo and my husband ask for onion and lettuce. She brought us two slizzers of lettuce and a tbls of chopped onion. Btw no cookie. Absoluty awful! She was not busy with customers just didnt care. Not even a spoon to stir my iced tea.

I have visited this diner for breakfast and dinner in the past and had a nice meal. We went for lunch this past weekend and had an issue with an allergy. We asked specifically if the soup contained dairy and asked for no cheese on a salad. The waitress was well aware of the need to not have any dairy products in the food. We were brought a chicken Caesar salad that had shredded cheese sprinkled on top. The dish was returned and we waited almost 15 minutes for a new meal. There was no cheese, but it appear to possibly have the same ingredients in the bowl from the previous order and the lettuce had been washed. We ate lunch and hoped this was not the case. The person I was with did have a reaction to dairy and this was the only food we ate out this day. I am concerned that there is not an understanding of allergy contamination. We are typically able to eat out and just avoid dairy products. Luckily this dairy allergy is not extremely severe, but the reaction did ruin the rest of our day.

Open for eclipse travelers on 4/8/24 AND giving out eclipse glasses to patrons. A very nice, friendly local restaurant with generous and tasty portions and wonderful coffee. Highly recommend!

It's a good ole fashioned diner and I love that! The food is spectacular, the atmosphere is nostalgic and the service is unapologetically like being at an old friend's house (in friendly familiarity only ... they don't tell you to go get your own refills or anything LOL). The prices vs. quality of food are incredible. You'll pay much more at a chain and not leave as satisfied in gut or experience.
