An absolute gem! The ribs slid off the bone with a sauce that's liquid gold. The wings, the sandwiches... it was all delicious. The owners make you feel like family. We will be back!!

My husband and I are originally from Kansas City and have had many bbq let downs since moving to Upstate NY. However, The Normal absolutely did NOT disappoint. We were blown away with how good everything was. A little more tangy and vinegary than KC style but it was really excellent. Will definitely be back here.We tried the Sandwich001, brisket, German potato salad, and bbq beans!

First time customer and we were blown away by the quality and subtle nuanced flavors of the sides. The brisket was phenomenal, served on a beautiful brioche bun. The mac and cheese was so good with very complex flavors that worked beautifully with the pasta. The baked beans were the best I have ever had. So much depth of flavor. Looking forward to next time!

À most flavor filled barbecue sauce that coated some properly cooked brisket...

The smoked turkey sandwich….delicious. My husband said the 1/2 chicken was Very Good!! For something different try the smoked cauliflower, you will like it!!
The Normal is not normal..my first experience was awful..cant order off a "normal menu...as in paper or plastic..really!? I ordered ribs..very tough..no flavor in their lingonberry barbecue sauce, which is the only sauce they have..no cornbread..no salad of any kind The baked beans might as well have come out of a can The german potato salad potatoes were hard..the coleslaw was very bland..just a bunch of cabbage in a bowl..hard to believe that this business remains open Will never patronize this business ever again

The owner and staff are super friendly, service is very quick, ordering from your table is very easy, and overall the food is fantastic. We had the brisket, cauliflower, pulled pork, cucumber chips, beans, and mac 'n cheese. They were all very flavorful and their special lingonberry bbq sauce is to die for. I would say the ribs were the only item that fell a bit short as they seemed overdone. Might have just been a bad rib day. We will definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: There were plenty of gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. The menu is clearly marked and the staff is quite knowledgeable and helpful.

Best BBQ I've had around Rochester! I grew up in Texas on BBQ and frequently smoke meats on my own offset, so I feel I know a bit. The ribs and brisket both had a great CLEAN smoke, a little on the lighter side and definitely not the overpowering sooty taste you get from a smoldering dirty smoke, fat was well rendered, nice tenderness. The Cornell chicken is amazing. We've been by a couple times and it has been consistently delicious, which can be tricky with BBQ. We will be back!
